Had to share this with you guys because i know you will both appreciate and hate me for getting it :P

Was browsing camera lens last night and saw a 45% off deal on Amazon.

I was like, not bad until I noticed the description was wrong but the picture and product details lined up.

Description was: EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM

BUT all other details showed the product to actually be 24mm f/1.4L USM Lens.. the kicker.. it was $1362.83 (o.O) are you kidding me???

I was like WTF!! No way.. this thing is a $2,500 lens!!!

Snapped that puppy up asap, and there was only 1 available.

Im contemplating flipping it, but geezus probably one of the best lens deals i have ever come across.

    I would have purchased the 1.4L for $249 that's in your images.

      Listing error, they have the 1.4 and the 2.8 swapped around, so the $249 is the cheapo pancake.

    Would reel in the excitement tbh, its a good lens, but 2.5k is way overpriced for a 2008 lens that's outperformed by its cheaper Sony GM counterpart - 1.3k actually probably is just reasonable. Checking second hand prices, and it seems a bunch of them are at the $1k mark.

    Also there currently is 1 available from the warehouse for $807 in like new condition for anyone who's interested. Considered picking it up, but figured I'd only really use it for astro, except it has terrible coma performance, so not as useful…

    i'd just flip it and sell it as brand new. If they ask why i know some people are happy for some honesty, provided they're getting some discount.

      That doesn't work because you are comparing a professional grade canon lens with a camera and lens combo.

      The lens that comes with the nikon isn't even in the pro grade ballpark.

      If its value comparison, then i guess the Nikon sounds better but the performance of the 24mm f1.4 is vastly superior by many folds to the 24-200 lens.
