  • Great Airfryer
only complain is a bit hard to clean (also take lots of space in a dish washer)
Now I use a silicon tray within the basket so only need to wash the tray most of the times

    • +1

The cleaning is a real issue - I do not trust those plastics and non-stick coatings at all. Getting ready to bin mine.

      • In the same boat. Reading all sorts of health issues related to these coatings. How hard is it to make a stainless steel airfyer.

      • If the surface is not damaged
These non-stick coatings should be safe under 240c
philips airfryer can only set up to 200c, so it will be less likely to hit the borderline

However these coatings will start to peel off if any misuse / wrong way of cleaning
Thats why I prefer to use silicon tray and keep the cleaning to minimal
Hope the tray will last a bit longer

    • Cleaning is a big issue with all air fryers. I'd rather but a $70 one that can be thrown out next year.

    • Where do you put the silicon tray ? Inside the basket, on top of the grill ?
Where did you get the silicon tray from ?
Any suggestions on where to get get spare trays , etc ?

  • Can’t you just put in one of those Weber drip trays? Or foil? To stop the sticking? I don’t know if I would trust silicone mats with chemicals leaching from plastics under heat

    • Baking paper works great. Just don't put it in without the weight of the food. It collects the "juices" which can easily be turned into a sauce

    • That’s a good idea, foil tray !

  • Cleaning? Just tip out the excess oil and keep using it.

  • Does anyone know the price in store?

  • Found it pretty easy to wash after a hot soak with a soft sponge and dish soap. No need to use the scourer. I use a soft brush on the mesh bit occasionally if there’s stubborn baked on bits but that’s about it.

  • Any suggestions on where to get spare parts ?
    Baking dish, spare grill ?
