Samsung 75" Q70C QLED 4K Smart TV (2023) $1,985 + Delivery @ VideoPro

210

Hello Bargainers,

I have been looking for a new TV, and since missing the deal that JB had, I've been hunting around.
Last night, I pulled the pin and bought this Samsung which I was checking out in JB last month. It's currently smashing the price JB had it up for by $200, and currently $1000-$1400 cheaper than everywhere else.

Shipping for me was $154 from QLD to Croydon Vic.

Please keep in mind, stock is (mostly) out nation wide across other big name outlets like JB - I asked them to price match as well, no one would touch it.
ETA shipping from the first week of September.

I have no idea how long this deal runs for, but when their chat comes back online I will ask and update!
Not a price error, I confirmed this yesterday.

Hopefully this is of some use to those looking for a new tele!

Cheers!

Or this MINI LED with a free $400 soundbar.

The Q70 is only edge lit from memory.

not a good deal as it doesnt have hdmi 2.1

Yeah the hdmi stuck at 60hz is a big weakness for this Hisense

I think the vast majority of consumers will be more than happy with a better quality display over potentially viewing content at 60hz+. Unless you game a lot or specifically play competitive games which would benefit from a very high refresh rate, I think mini-led trumps HDMI 2.1.

Personally, I would certainly lean towards HDMI 2.1 as my next TV because I do game but for most people that is just streaming TV or movie or occasionally games, I'd go better quality panel over higher refresh rate.

I personally wouldn't touch Non-sense with a barge pole but sure, on paper it does appear to be more appealing.

    Hisense 75″ ULED Mini-LED Series U7KAU

This is a better TV deal in my book. Same size, Mini-LED, HDMI 2.1 and under $300 more. For something that will likely be used frequently and for more than a couple of years, I'd pay 15% more for better future proofing and just overall better viewing experience.

Just out of interest, why is this suggestion getting negative votes?

  • +1

Yes I was quite blasé about TV technologies and thought that all fairly similar until watching a mini LED TV and OMG even The Simpsons looks so much better. It's like it's got some sort of extra depth and almost 3D quality to most shows or movies. Of course any Attenborough documentary is just wow.

The only downside is the handcams/shakycam shots gives me mild motion sickness.

So I'd agree the extra $300 would be totally worth it. And Hisense has pure GoogleTV which is so much easier to navigate and snaplier then the other proprietary UI's from other manufacturers like Samsung, LG and Sony. But I don't watch antenna TV, only streaming via apps/plex.

Q70 colours pop in store, just lack of local dimming is a bummer.

  • A follow-up - MiniLED is better, and the edge lighting is inferior compared to the full array stuff.

This tv is in my price range, and compared to the Samsung Plasma I'm using at the moment, it's world's apart in quality.

  • i wanted to get this, but the lack of stock put me off. ended up just buying a Q60C 75" for 1.9k from JB HI FI. I am happy with it, and speaking with the sales rep i got the impression the early September delivery date for these may be optimistic. Still if you are OK to wait, worth taking a punt!

    • Well that's it! I'm not big on waiting, but I decided our tv currently works, so a couple weeks won't be so bad.

  • If only they had a good deal on their 65” version

  • Anyone else getting a different price on that link ?
