    Doubt.

  • Whats people's thoughts on these types of portable/basic projector screens? vs. projecting onto a white wall?

    • +1

The screen will likely be more reflective than a wall and you'll need every bit of reflectivity you can getv with only 130 real Lumens. Most home projectors have 2000 to 3000 lumens, some as low as 1800 which is acceptable in darkness but any less and you're stepping into unacceptable territory. So you can imagine how bright 130 miserable lumens ISNT gping to look LOL.

Maybe a screen size of 40 inches might be watchable for an unfussy viewer in darkness (the bigger the screen the less bright those lumens get). Oh and it will be NOISY at 50db, a quiet projector is around 20, 26 is audible but tune-outable for me.

      • I'm asking more about the screen than the projector. I've got a blitzwolf v5 so I've had experience already with how it performs (which I'm happy with given we only use it in the bedroom at night). Blasting it onto our white wall looked great, even blasting it onto the back of our grey blockouts looked fine.

However they were only temporary tests, my makeshift setup was going to involve some thick white sheets, but I've been curious whether buying a cheapo screen with punched holes would be easier to setup/hang. But no point buying them if it'll be a downgrade to performance.

  • How does it compre to a projector like this with screen included?
    or this or this

The Jaycar one seems overpriced unless I am missing something?
