Spring is coming and I can definitely feel the effect already with the pollen! I have purchased this in White last week to put in the study after I sold my crappy dyson tower on fb marketplace. No fancy wifi connectivity but I'm okay with that. Coway is one of the leading brands in Korea.

I've only had this for a few days but I love the minimal look and the cartridge-style filters. Running cost is low as filters are only required to be changed once a year for an average use of 8hours a day afaik. Prefilter can be easily vacuumed or rinse easily. Average costs of a filter set including active carbon filter and hepa filter are around 40-50ish dollars on Amazon.

Right now I have the Xiaomi Mi Purifier 3h, the Philips AC2887 and this one. All of which have readily available and affordable filters. I did have a look ay the Trusens on sale but the running costs are quite high. Filter replacements were about double the price.

I sorta made it smart by plugging it in a meross smart plug which works perfectly fine with it. My cheapo old brilliant brand tuya smart plug will not work with it for some reason.

  • Better than xiaomi?

  • +1

Pretty low CADR for that price. What's the noise level at max speed?

    • +1

Apparently noise levels ranges from min to max around 19 to 48ish dB

      • +1

48dba is good for that cadr, if the ratings are accurate. But most larger units can achieve the same cadr and noise levels on medium but have higher purification when pushed to max (for when you need it).

way too expensive for what it is. Anyone looking for good value air purifier, I would strongly recommend

NX Rapid Air Purifier, 5-Stage Purification with WIFI, White https://amzn.asia/d/6YgMlZh

For only $77-$92 (price keeps fluctuating every day), this presents much better value and you would also be supporting local Australian brand and get local warranty

I have already bought three of these and extremely happy with it.

      • +1

That RRP is inflated. As per camelcamel it has fluctuated between $77-$112

        • It's straight off their website.

Edit : Yes it's inflated. But that raises the question of why it is so cheap now?

          • +1

@RecklessMonkeys: I personally don’t care about RRP, buy it off amazon at price you are comfortable, give it a go for sometime, if not happy just return

        • Got a link to the price tracker? I tried searching on Camel and it didn't seem to come up.
Bought one anyway to try - cheers for the above tip. Not sure why there's such a huge price diff between NX AU-home page and Amazon.

@ujwols: Thanks. Arrived in under 24hrs. Bloody good deal. I'm tempted to get another one because I suspect these are being written off or warehouse dumped somehow. Catch has them for 300 and Kogan for 599. My outer box had a docket/invoice on it from the OEM shipment which indicated 19 units shipped to amazon at $245 a pop.

Price of genuine filter is also quite reasonable

NX Replacement H13 Filter for NX-100AP Rapid Air Purifier https://amzn.asia/d/eSuMukk

I have seen it fluctuating between $24-$60
