Just building my first PC in about 5 years. The RX 6750 XT appears to need 2 x 8 pin power cables. My MSI A750GF PSU doesn't seem to have enough cables. It came with the following cables:
- 8 pin to 8 pin cables (2 of these, of which 1 I'm using one for the CPU.)
- 8 pin connector (1 corner pin blanked) to 2 x 8 pin connectors (all 8 pins)
- 8 pin connector (1 corner pin blanked) to 1 x 8 pin connector (all 8 pins)
I'm hoping cable number 2 above is the correct one - anyone able to advise?
The 4+4 EPS connector (dual clip) is for the CPU and the 6+2 PCIe cables are for the GPU.
Here's the pinout guide & which side plugs in where (Page 7): https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/pdf/Power_Supply_Ca…
In terms of your definitions, cable 2 should be fine. It either powers on or doesn't. The PSU will regulate voltage accordingly.
