  • Is this any good for amd?

    • Picked some up today, its been fine so far.

    • I think this is the same ram I have seems to be micro-a and currently trying what seems to be ok at overclocking trying 6000mhz 1.3-1.4

      • Source? I found an article from a couple of years ago suggesting that there wasn't too much headroom on these

        • It might be more to do with the new bios released, I'll take a screenshot when I'm home.

That's not bad. Is this brand good? reliable?

    • +5

One of the most renowned memory brands there is

    • +1

Corsair is a public listed company with a market cap of $1.51 Billion USD.

Corsair's recent financial report claims Corsair currently has 72% of US gaming memory market (the market leader over there). Note, that's gaming memory, not all memory. Also, that's US market, not the whole world.

      I wouldn't buy their shares though. 😀

      • why is the rrp just 149 then? i thought 32gb rams would be are higher

        • +1

Why would it be higher ?

        • Because DDR5 RAM prices have been dropping. Plenty of DDR5 RAM modules currently being sold below RRPs.

A store sold me Corsair SODIMM DDR5-4800 2x8GB (16GB) kit for $30 a month ago. Packaging box was damaged though.

Great to see DDR5 going down in price

  • Can this be used on the Acer nitro 16 laptop from this deal?

    • No, this is a desktop RAM stick.

      • Thanks! What's the code or markings that indicates whether it is for desktop or laptop?

        • +2

Laptop RAM are SODIMMs, and they are a lot smaller physically. Here's an example of them: link

        • So if you go to the product page in Umart, it says UDIMM in the title of the product. UDIMM is usually used for desktops and SODIMM is for Laptops. Here is a good explanation

  • For just a bit more you can get the Corsair Dominator Platinum https://www.umart.com.au/product/corsair-32gb-2x16gb-cmt32gx…

    • Is the difference significant?

      • Looks a heap better

        • Unless you can see inside the case, there isn't much value?

    • 20% more money for what appears to be 0% more performance? Am I missing something

    • Same die, same speeds, same timings but 20% more for RGB - is this the "Price Performance PC" part selection process?

  • Would this be ok for a Z690 and 13600k build?

  • Would this be suitable for a NZXT H1 Mini? Looking to upgrade to 32GB from the 16GB default sticks that came with my kit but I'm aware that there is a 46mm height clearance for the RAM.
