Pros

Potential to get 1 deal free if 3 friends are referred and purchased seperately.
Good for limited cost getaway as a couple or with friends. BUCKS OR HENS PARTY WOOOO!
Cheaper than the cost of a flight to Cancun at most times. So equates to cheap flight plus free accom, food.
14 day change of mind refund for any reason

Cons
Requires minimum of two people and a max of six per reservation
Cant be booked until Oct 11, 2012. But can check availability prior. May not get dates you want as a result!!

  I wasn't going to neg but then as I wrote more and more I talked myself into it - bottom line: this smells of bait-and-switch sales tactics. Happy to be argued out of my neg.

  Reservations for flight arrival/departure dates must coincide with hotel check-in/check-out dates

  Effectively this appears to lock you into no stop-overs in US en route, plus no extra time allowable before or after Cancun resort time to explore Mexico, nearby Belize, Guatemala or Cuba.

  Also reads like you may have to pay for checked-luggage. Domestic connections on Delta in the US are usually not an enjoyable experience - and the US-Cancun connection may be quite similar. Look for dates that don't coincide with US vacationing time. The end of the hurricane season is usually celebrated in the Caribbean on the feast of la Morenita - 12th December.

  So the biggest problem is that given the 24+hrs of travel time on each end of the trip in order to just have 5 nights in a beach resort - I would think Bali or Phuket would be a much better option. In the resort or on the bus ride airport transfer you probably can't tell the difference too much between one country or the others.

  By the time you'll start adjusting to jet-lag it will be time to go home and do the jet-lag readjust again.

  Overall I think this - like many group-purchase promos - is just a bait and switch hook to develop hot leads for this travel agent.

    "14 day money back guarantee" would also appear to be a scam - though that may be Living Social's fault:

    Can't find the dates you want? Dog ate your passport? No worries. You have 14 days post-purchase to return your voucher.

    Last day to purchase is 15 or 16 Sept
    add 14 days takes you to 30 Sept
    But booking cannot be made until 11th Oct - so within the "14 days" it is impossible to know if the dates you want are available!

    I'd be saving screen-shots of this in order to demand extension of money back period to 14 days after 11 Oct.
