Seems good price if you want 512G anyway

I won't buy any device without a type C port myself though

    • When was this?

      That's an opinion.

    • geeez ppl so harsh these days. Here have a pos.

      EDIT: sorry these aren't ppl

So you are giving somebody a positive for them giving a negative to what is, right now, not a bad deal. Their alternative isn’t actually available and nobody knows what the cost would be. I don’t mind the comment but the neg would appear to be excessive.

        • to be clear, I gave the pos to Quarter Pounder, not the one above me

        • Because screw logic and basic decency!

Actually, i take back my neg. Didn't see 512GB. Seems like an okay deal if you don't have modem issues. A friend of mine had the iPhone 13 and ended up with a faulty 5G modem 2 times.. Even after a whole rear system replacement.

          • @Quarter Pounder: No probs mate. Pointing out that we Apple is about to come out with a new model is good, I just thought the neg was a bit much.

You can wait. For other people who needs a cheaper & older iphone, they wont be looking at the latest iphone at rrp.
      Meh.

I won’t buy any device without lightning connector available. Otherwise, I have to recycle all the lightning cables I own. >10

    • All my lightning cables broke…

    • +1

What did you do with your serial printer cables?

      • Sitting in a box

The rest was stripped for copper

        Lol

  • Anyone buying this instead of waiting literally 2 weeks for the 15 should do their research

    • +1

How much is the 15 512GB?

      • Most probably 50-70% more then this deal.

        • +2

          Yep, the research is done

@itstuan: The actual solution is to pick up a second hand phone off fb marketplace/gumtree when the 15 drops. Prices will continue to fall as people upgrade their older phones for the new one

            • @ThatNintendoKid: So it will be much longer than 2 weeks. Keep in mind they will only announce when the 15 will be on the market in 2 week time, not available in 2 weeks. And then keep waiting until they're finally discounted.
Your solution is to get a second hand? haha, sure. Still paying a lot more than this though. Good luck if you only have $1200 to spend.

  • Yeah but iPhones now coming only with esim now. A deal breaker. I would not want to be locked into a digital sim. Unless I buy another phone to go with it. In that case it’s fine. But carrying two phones?
Also usb c is good but lightning is also so ez to use.

    • is that the case with 15?

      • Unfortunately yes

        • Is that confirmed for Australia?

      • Doubt it. Or at least we don’t know yet. The 14 in US was eSIM only but not in Australia.

        • Oh really? I thought it was. But they are saying 15 is all e-sim.

  • I am happy with the phone with super charger feature.
