      Mid city centre

    • Just bought 2 extra warm (1 regular & 1 v neck) at Uniqlo Bondi Junction. They also got $2 deals on socks.

Should be selected stores only? Cant find it at my local uniqlo.

  • I did not see it in the Parramatta store

That’s the regular one - not extra warm

      • +1

Yeah, it has the Heattech though so thought some might find it useful. I’m never convinced by v neck when trying to stay warm regardless.

  • +1

I don't think these are cotton.
    Probably Polyester/Acrylic/Viscose/Elastane.

    • Synthetic blend. If these were to be made out of cotton it would be smelly, heavier, and not as warm

      • Cotton is heavier and not as warm but polyester clothing attracts and captures odor-causing bacteria more than cotton.

    • +1

Cotton is no good for staying warm, it absorbs moisture and then the moisture get cold against the body. Hence the phrase “cotton kills” in terms of adventure wear and the like. Thermals are either wool, synthetic or a blend.

should have at least .00001% cotton since they used cotton in the description.
maybe the tag is made of cotton, lol.

i really hate when they do this.
says merino sweater, but only has 1% merino wool and the rest is synthetic. There should be a law that you have to name the clothing after the highest percentage fabric. so don't say merino sweater, say rayon sweater.

    • Fabric details: 52% Cotton, 34% Acrylic, 7% Viscose, 7% Elastane according to their website (though not the waffle version).

These are good, but once you sweat in them, they smell, I guess what you can expect for $10 but I am thinking about going down the wool ice breaker path

Ad someone who has heatech and Merino, Merino wins hands down in every aspect except cleaning and moths.

Many travels of just airing out clothes and wearing again.

Heatech needs to be washed every day.

      • This is true but the washing of wool can be a pain. I think in reality having a bit of both is most practical.

      • Thanks for inspiring me to pay $100 for a merino hah. I don't have many merion garments, they can't be thrown in the wash?

        • Definitely no hot wash. I learned the hard way, brand new jumpers shrunk to kids size XD

        • Fine to use the wool or delicates cycle along with a wool wash detergent, otherwise they’ll get holes appearing in them.

      • I also have both Heatech and Merino. I guess it also depends if you sweat a lot or not. Mine usually fine with just airing out. If your shirt becomes sweaty, maybe you're wearing too warm

it smells because you stink, not because of the fabric, lol.
      i bet you're hairy.
stink = sweat + bacteria on your body (usually in hairy areas).

the power of ignorance is strong in this one.

          • @Hugh G Rection: Fool. I’d neg the crap out of you but I’ve run out. I’ll be back tomorrow.

@Champ888: just like your IQ, in the negative. lol

Champ888, looks like your going to be making another account Champ889. look forward to see your brilliance shine.

  • Pure plastic

i think its cotton, but im not a rocket surgeon

      • It’s probably not. Heat-tech should be a synthetic polymer blend.

        • -2

blend yes, PURE plastic? i didn't think so either.
