Looks like NAB has small differences for people being moved from Citi accounts.

  • Eventually all the benefits and features of the old Citi will be gone. This is transitional and won’t last long.

Linking these threads to highlight alternatives, because this is temporary. nab will not keep 2 classes of accounts forever.

        • Every bank account is temporary and not forever

At least they have gone to the bother of keeping the benefits for now, instead of getting rid of them on change over.

@Baysew: Because if they tell us we are scrapping all the benefits now, majority of us will close our Citi accounts before the changeover.

They need you to shift to NAB, because the hardest part is getting a customer to open an account.

  • they sent out email few days ago.

    From 24 February 2024
    • Your Citibank Plus Transaction Account will be closed and your Citi Debit Mastercard will be cancelled. That means you will no longer be able to use your Citibank Plus Transaction Account or Citi Debit Mastercard.
    • You can continue to use your NAB Classic Banking account and NAB Visa Debit card*.

    • Yes but had to check products to see if those coming from Citi got different

Why? At this point in time there are no charges for international withdrawals.

  • What a ball ache, I just set up Netflix Turkey to take payments from the linked Citi visa debit

  • That's so weird that they use the same name for the new account ( NAB Classic)
    BUT fees are different.
Now need to mark that new Visa Debit card as "Citi" :)

"….except the table in Section 2 Services Fees, Account Related Services, which is replaced with the table as follows:

    Overseas access
    NAB Visa Debit card
    ATM cash withdrawal Fee waived
    Balance enquiry Fee waived
    International transaction fee1 Fee waived

  • My citi credit card is funded by the Citibank Plus account, quite a pain that these will now be in two different apps
