    • Thanks added

  • You sure it "Seems to be for everyone"?

    • Not really, read comment above

It's for new subs, I tried it as a returning sub, the cash back tracked but was declined eventually

For recurring subs, better to just press the cancel sub button and get the $30 voucher.

After accepting that $30 gift card offer for sticking around, go ahead and cancel anyway.

Then sign up with the link below after your subscription has ended and you will also get a $20 off $20.01 min spend voucher.

$49 for 1 year of eBay Plus, a $30 gift card and a $20 off $20.01 spend voucher. Pays for itself really.

      • Wow didn't knew that. Thanks for sharing.

      • Do they not charge you $49 free if you accept the $30 GC? Will they refund this $49 after being charged ?

        • Accepting the offer doesn't result in an immediate charge.

It just activates the offer on your account and after your next annual payment you will receive the gift card.

      • Won't you not get the $30 retention gc once cancel?

        • It has been discussed/brought up in previous deals. Here's one from last year when for some reason they were sending out $40 vouchers instead of the advertised $20.

I did it just last month and got both the $30 gift card and the $20 voucher.

Probably best not to attempt cancelling until you're closer to your renewal date as I recall someone here saying that the $30 gift card offer is only valid for a limited time after you accept it. (if you accept it too early it can actually expire before your subscription ends)

      • don't they only send you the gift card once they charge the $49?

so if you cancel 1 day before they charge, then you would not get the $30 gift card

  • I only do monthly when I want to sell and got free final value promo. This time round somehow I also got $10 off $30. So ok.

  • Voucher is useless if your parcel gets lost, damaged or fake. You will get a refund, BUT Ebay will keep it.

Next, I only received 5 monthly $5 plus vouchers. Ebay support acknowledged the error..two months ago. Told I need to wait longer for a solution.

    So my $50 (with a $50 voucher+ $5 per month) turned into no voucher and 5 × $5 vouchers with $15 spends.

Anyone know of a controlling body for Ebay? They are just scum

Surely someone can make something better and make eBay just go away.

    • Surely someone can make something better and make eBay just go away.

Yeah it's called Amazon. And get got there by being an evil company. But that's how it works I suppose…

  • Is the $5 voucher also available with the monthly subscription?

    • Update: I received the $5 off voucher but it has a $50 min spend.

  • I declined the $30 renew voucher and my subscription has just lapsed. Is there any way to save more than $25 via this deal or $20 via the link above as I'm struggling to justify paying any more for this?

    • Just signup for the monthly when you actually need it, then cancel again, repeat. You probably find you end up needing to use it 2 or 3 times a year.
