Anywhere That I Can Rent/Lease a Gaming Laptop for 1 Month Only?

I have a situation where I don't have access to my pc for 1 month, is there anywhere in Australia (specifically Melbourne) that allows you to rent a gaming pc (or laptop even which might be better) for 1 month.

Anywhere I've seen has like a lease model only which I don't want, I want to be able to give the laptop back in 1 month or 2 max.

I'm specifically looking for gaming, thanks.

I've even had a look at some return policies, but 14 days max doesn't cut it - only Microsoft has a 60 day return policy but none of their machines can really game (and I don't mean high end gaming, just regular gaming such as Dota, CS GO, Fifa, etc).

I'm trying not to spend $1k+ on a laptop I don't need after a month, thanks.

  • As an alternative approach, have you considered using a cloud gaming service like GeoForce Now ?
Removes the requirement for a gaming laptop, and some of these services have free trials.

    • I believe that requries a strong internet connection, and the place I'm at is average only.

      • A good internet connection is a must, but that would also be the same for the games you're playing. If you're able to stream Netflix HD, it should be enough for a hosted service.
        Food for thought.

Can try to use mobile data hotspot to play, I personally did it and the only downside is it consumes loads of data LOL ( 6-7Gb/h). But otherwise it is good.

    Patience.
    1 month is not long.

surely you can go outside and walk around, go to pools, run, walk, park, for a month.
    Lockdown is over

      What is ‘outside’?

  • the place where the uber driver is

  • I wonder if you need to take out extra insurance for 'bodily fluid' damage on said laptop

Why not try an internet/gaming cafe?

  • Costco offer 90 day change of mind refunds on computers and you can even refund your membership too. They have desktops and laptops.

Also, wouldn't the Microsoft Surface Studio laptop or all in one handle your gaming needs fine? They both have a dedicated GPU, 3050Ti in the laptop and 3060 in the AIO.

Thermals on such devices would be an issue, though if OP is only playing Dota, CS GO and FIFA, it should be fine for the most part?

Not that I know of. What I would do is buy one that looks average 2nd hand. Use it for a month then clean it up, add $30 worth of RGB and flip it online

Buy one, use it and sell it later. Price Difference = “lease”
