Was hopeful for a good deal on the 4tb but seems to be skipped over, was keen on the evo over the ovo model as plan to use via a sata usb dock for photos and backup kinda thing.

    • The deal on 4TB is still there, for AU $352.75 instead of AU $415.00, just refresh your browser. There is a similar deal and similar product (5 years warranty and similar quality, speed…) : Crucial MX500 4TB 2.5" Internal SSD , $309 Free shipping : Centrecom : https://www.centrecom.com.au/crucial-mx500-4tb-25-internal-s… .

FYI, if you have access to Samsung EPP, 2TB $167.20, 4TB $303.20.

    • $303 just isn't enough to get me to want to buy it yet considering its almost a 3 year old SSD line, if it ever gets to that $270-280 I'll probably do it.

I don’t think there’s any more room for improvement on sata ssd tho, like newer controller and improvements will be small since the market will change to nvme m.2 and pcie gen5 so might be the last of the good satas

But yeah price wise should drop but it seems all the good price drops are on m.2

Samsung EPP is education purchase program right?

I'm logged in and 870 EVO 4TB is $341.10 and 2TB is $188.10 for - are there additional discounts at checkout??

It can be but in this case it’s the Telstra EPP store.
