  • Worth it? Can’t find any reviews any where.

    • +2

Pl1h, you won't get better then this for this price; you'll need a screen as well, and it is worth paying extra for an alr screen, Ali baba did have some for ~$800 previously.

I put one together for a mate with the projector last year. Honestly amazing at 100" screen.

Anything specific you want to know?

      • What if we don’t buy screen ? Or use any other cheap screen? I want to take it overseas

        • +2

Have a dark room? It'll be fine, project into a neutral wall, it'll be fine. Neutral being white grey or black, and obviously flatter the better.

ALR just helps as it reflects the light from the projector towards the seats better than a typical flat screen.

          It'll still be great!

        • +2

Still looks pretty amazing without a screen, but you won't get that TV-level brightness that ALR screens give.

That's the big drawcard of these UST laser projectors over a traditional projectors: they work so well with ALR screens.

      • How’s the bulb life? I mean how many hours we can use it?

        • +5

Up to 25,000, it's a laser light, not classic bulb.

Though at full brightness, and why wouldn't you want to use this always, you'll get ~14,000 hours (from memory)

14,000 hours= if you use it for 3 hours every day continuously that's nearly 13 years.

  • I assume this doesn’t come with the screen to stick on wall?

    • Screen is separate purchase. Good screen may cost more than this unit. lol

  • +1

wow, they are not selling many, I guess. Heavily discounted.

  • +2
  • Wow. If I had the wallspace.

  • cannot find the Specs for
    Which DMD? I guess 0.47mm?

    • Certainly.

  • +3

I have this from Christmas sell that was around 1900, my kids love it, im no expert, but the picture quality to me is really good.

  • +3

Wow that's insane! The PL1H probably the best bang for buck UST laser projector out there for mine. It has Dolby Vision, HDR10 and 10+. With a bit of tinkering and a decent UST ALR screen (would recommend an XY screen or a Nothing Projector screen) it's an amazing piece of kit.

I can't really understand why there's not much talk about this model there are hardly any English reviews on YouTube for instance. This is probably one of the more comprehensive English reviews I have found online (scroll down to the bottom for English version).

    Incredible bargain.

As others have mentioned, UST (ultra-short throw projector) compatible ALR (ambient light rejecting) screen recommended (NOT just any ALR screen, but UST specific). Not sure about prices for the screens but expect to be above $1k from China (e.g. Alibaba).

  • Says out of stock when added to cart though

  • hmm, really want to buy. I just need to sign up for a Gold Star membership is that right? 65 a year?
Doesn't say out of stock for me.

    • +1

They seem to be out of stock when you make it through to checkout

      • Yes, cannot checkout 😞

  • Did anyone managed to buy it? I can't seem to be able to checkout.

That really is an awesome price for this projector.

  • Wouldn't ship to me, so I tried an address right next to a Costco and it seemed okay, I tried a friends place from about 30 minutes drive away, no good, then uncles place 30 minutes or so in the other direction and it says out of stock….what a pain.

    • Which Costco store was your friend near to ?

      • Newcastle

        • Same, can add to cart, but can't checkout

  • can add to cart, but can't checkout :(

  • +1

It seems the groceryvan reselling it now, but +$200

    • Do they buy them from Costco? Or this is separate shop?

      • I think they bought from Costco, then resell it.

        • +1

Seems like a waste of time from their perspective. All that effort for $200 minus credit card fees, postage etc

  • +1

    Have one, banger price.
Only issue I noticed is that it doesn't direct my chromecast tv, have to restart chromecast every time

If anyone's interested JB refused to price match Costco (due to membership prices being against their terms and conditions) and Grocery Van (blacklisted as a reseller apparently) but managed to use it to negotiate JB down to $1950.

So combining Perks $30 off $300 Minimum Spend and 15% off Ultimate eGift Cards brings it down to around $1640 delivered.

    • +1

I asked them in store and was offered $1,899. I think it really depends who you get in store because in the past I have had them match Costco pricing plus membership fee.

      • +1

Good stuff I tried online a few times but was refused a price match every time. Anyways I'm more than happy with $1640 delivered. I already own one and it's a steal at that price imho.

        Hi,
Any chance you’re able to share your order id ?
Online will match it but need order id

      • +1

Can u share the order id please?

    • Wont work online since ultimate gift card is like VISA where only 1 card is allowed during checkout.

Given they can't handle split payment for credit card payment.

      • You need to purchase JB GCs first using Ultimate GCs and have everything ready to go if you're planning on purchasing online (the link they provide expires at midnight). In-store you should be able to use Ultimate GCs by themselves if you manage to negotiate a good deal.

Not sure if it's my order number y'all are after but I've pm'ed my details. Hope it helps.

Any chance you could share your order id ?

  • Just bought a TV ffs

  • What screen are people getting for this?

    • +1

I would recommend XY screens but they seem to have gone up a fair bit since I purchased one.

      120" XY Screen PET Crystal

Nothing Projector also have their own screens. There are 120" screens starting from around $1.1k.

Their customer service is also top notch and very prompt highly recommend them if you're after a UST screen/projector.

  • Does anyone know if this price (and stock) could be available in the Costco stores? Or is this just an online deal?

    • +1
