How is this a deal? The local alterations shops are usually more economical than this.

Hahahaha $19 for this? Unless you’re paying the inner city tax, that is not a deal, the right local shop will do it for half the cost

Paying full price at Kathmandu is more justifiable a cost than $19 for alterations

    • the right local shop will do it for half the cost

Can you recommend your local alteration place that can do it for half this deal? Serious question, I have a lot of pants I need alterations. Don't mind paying shipping.

$20 bucks seems about the going rate near me, based on 3 locations I enquired at.

Cheap places are word of mouth, they don't have websites and advertising is local community. I doubt you will be able to get postage to a proper cheap place.

I use a place called Troy Manufacturing in Sydney (ignore what google tells you because they do more than uniforms). I doubt they ship. I've loads of shirts taken in for $8/15 ($8 for the sides, $15 was basically completing re-tailoring a shirt, including cutting the diameter of the sleeves). I paid $20-25 to have jeans redone: and by redone I mean darts on the waist, diameter of the legs taken (again, essentially this was to re-tailor a pair of jeans). To hem jeans it's $8:

Even paying the Inner West tax in Sydney in a place like Summer Hill you won't pay $19 to take up trousers

        • Awesome thanks for that, very helpful! Screenshotted

          • @Lucille Bluth: Where are you located? Suburbs further out in you capital city is where you’re likely to get stuff like this done cheap

  • I cant see the normal $29 per alteration on the website unless $19 is their usual price.

Not a deal, sorry OP but this isn't the kind of thing I think you can digitise, I pay 10 bucks for an alteration of the same caliber at my local tailor and they will do all the measuring and adjusting I just stand there and let them do it. At $19 you might beat some shops but at $29 I think you are going to get in a fair bit of strife..

  • This deal doesn't seem too bad compared to recent experiences.

I had a pair of pants taken up for $25. So three pairs would be $75 compared with $67 from this offer.
According to the replies here, I'm probably overpaying so would greatly appreciate recommendations in Adelaide!!

Basically trying to make this deal look popular & profit from members. Issue with the seller.

The more I think about how much of a con this place is as e commerce the more I think you can just set up a site like this, get people to enter their details and what measurements they want altered, receive the product, take them to a tailor that is cheap to get the work done, and then send it back to to the poor sap who mailed it in

I could charge $29 for pants to be done, take it to my $8 place and that’s $21 I’ve made
