Yet another SPREETS scam? 32GB USB3 $20 delivered?

http://spreets.com.au/deal/Sydney/product/30632/transport-st…

A USB 3.0 32GB 'Thumb Drive' for $20 including delivery.

After SPREETS 30% 'commission' the supplier would be getting $14 to cover postage, packing, and the 'stick'.

Something is 'wrong' somewhere?

  • looks legit to me.. maybe the prices are coming down

    they're going for around $20 - $40 bucks on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_…

  • Where do you read the '% commission' from, just curious (if it isn't simply a guestimate).

edit: in any case, if you turn to eBay or any of the Group buy sites first before referencing a proper benchmarking index, chances are one will end up with a junk piece instead of a USB'3' stick.

To me, >50MB/s Write- to be even remotely connected to USB3. It has to be Superspeed i.e. bi-directional. The standard allows for < 5 Gbit/s.

Even @A3Australia thinks that it could be a scam. I'll close this thread now to focus the discussions on the deal posted.
