They are finally matching Amazon in price. I got 3 of these now and I am pretty happy

This has nothing to do with this listing itself and I have to say I'm not a gamer, but if the refresh rate is 165Hz (~6ms), doesn't that make the response rate of 1ms somewhat meaningless as you're waiting up to 7ms to have the updated image anyway?

I might obviously well be wrong here, but I just thought I'd ask.

    • Not sure on this but response rate means nothing if image quality is crap. That monitor rocks.

    • Response time is how long it takes for a pixel to transition from one shade of grey to another. The 1ms figure here is fairly optimistic, as IPS typically shows response times of 3 to 5ms on average (across multiple grey-to-grey transitions) when tested by reviewers. What's important, as you alluded to, is that the response time is lower than the time a frame is displayed. However, a lower response time is still beneficial as it results in a clearer image with less motion blur between frames. For example if response time is 2ms and the frame time is 6ms, then the complete image is only being displayed for 4ms.
Side note: This is where OLED has a big advantage, as it can have response time as low of 0.1ms, resulting in a much clearer image in motion versus LCD.

Same price at Amazon and pretty much lots of major retailers as well. Good price though but I decided to go with the 32" version. Damn it's huge and such a big improvement from my previous 24" generic monitor.

    • Is it good for work? I wonder about whether it's better to have one 32" vs 2x 27"

      • Took a little time to get used to the size but the monitor does have Reader mode so I guessed it would be alright. Although rn cheapest is like $544 for the 32" so depending on your usage though. Personally I found 27" might hit the sweet spot of PPI for 2K but I got mine preowned on eBay for $345 so can't complain.

        2x monitors are better.

      • 2x monitors minimum fairly standard now

I bought a 32" recently and love it. Not too huge but a decent upgrade from 27". Picked up an MSI QHD 170hz IPS monitor for ~$365 definitely happy with the purchase although i'm sure the image quality on the monitor posted would be nicer.

  • This is a damn fine monitor. Get it. I have it and it's such a pleasure to use

  • So the 32GP750 and 27GP850 are same price. I'm really just looking for a larger size (either is fine) 1440p monitor that doesn't require any gaming features but these still seem to be the best value wise.

Other than maybe a Dell 2722, but the 4k version is $375 and the 1440p version is more currently. I feel 4k is going to be hard to read for the user.

  • I have one of these and it's arguably one of the better if not best monitor purchases I've made (and I've swapped monitors a lot). I'm trying real hard not to buy another to have both matching.

  • Bought one a couple of weeks ago from JB for similar price.

The first one had really bad (and uneven) backlight glow. Some level of glow is expected given IPS panel but it was the unevenness that made it so noticeable.

Took it back for an exchange and the second one is much better.

Overall great monitor for the price. Good all rounder for gaming and productivity.

  • bought 2 of the 32" GP850s for gaming. Works very well

  • I'm tempted but my PC is starting to age, anyone know if my GTX 1050 Ti will run this monitor?

  • Does this work with ps5 / 120 fps?

For anyone wondering, yes it does at 1440p only. It can also down sample 4k to 1440p @ 60Hz which supposedly looks good as well.

No VRR though but I think I'll jump on this until 27" OLED prices come down.

    • Yes it does. Just remember to turn off adaptive sync and it will run at 1440p@120hz

  • FYI, this deal is unfortunately no longer available - Dell 32 USB-C Gaming Monitor - G3223D $310.41 (Was $445.50) Delivered @ - but it gives an idea of what a good deal on this kind of monitor is. I think it even uses the same panel.
