  • Doesn’t it go black when it frozen?

    • One thing is for sure thawed the avocado becomes slimy, watery, and mushy.
Not sure that would work in a salad or on toast.

      • Still alright for smoothies.

I literally just bought an entire box of avocadoes yesterday from the grocer for $5.

Cut them in half and freeze yourself.

    • +4

Where did you get them from? Where I am they’re $2.50 each!

      • Henry Mercato, Bayside Frankston

        • Do you find those bought from green grocers tend to be bruised and black when ripe ? If you buy a whole box, do you cut them when they are still hard and freeze or how do you deal with it ?

          • @sistermay: That was just a suggestion of what you could do (freeze). I just bought shared the box amongst work colleagues/friends/family.
