Looking for a 65 Inch OLED

My 5 year old Samsung 55 inch TV gave up unfortunately and we are in the market to replace it with a 65 inch OLED with budget around $3k to $3.5k. In the past, we have had LG 65' C3 for $2865 or so. Are there any deals coming up worth waiting for or buy one rrp straight away? Thanks

from 55, pls dont get 65 or you will regret like me. get 75. no but no bat

    • Agree. Not fully regretting, but 75 would be nice. Misses didn't allow it. 75 was much more expensive.

Ps: compensating with a proper sound system

    • 75 inch is unfortunately outside of my price range but really felt nice to see the demo though. Thanks for your inputs.

    • What's wrong with a 65? Are 55 and 75 the sweet spots or something?

65 barely feels like a upgrade from 55 in terms of size. >75 scratches that itch, but the jump in price is far too much

If you can wait, Black Friday is the end of November, likely to get a good price.

If you don't mind box damaged, Sony's ebay page has $300 off at the moment, pick up a 65" A80L for $2,695 (which is usually $4k). https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285432366554 with the code RFR20 (or RFR22 if you're an ebay plus member).

  • Thanks mate. Any 77 inch around this price range? I couldn't find any.

Why not microled, isn't that the new hotness for TVs? Might only be up to MiniLED at the moment. I haven't been keeping track, can't afford a new telly.

  • buy one rrp straight away?

    No….

Are there any deals coming up worth waiting for

The biggest shopping event of the year is Black Friday in November and Boxing Day in December.

  • Samsung 82" oled… oh wait, wrong country

Where did you last see it?

    • They'll find it in the last place they look apparently

  • If you live in a capital city check out the secondary markets (marketplace, eBay, gumtree), you can find 65” CX’s, CS’s, C1’s, A8H’s, GX’s and G1’s for $1000-$1500, C2’s have been going for $1500-$1800. These units will still carry ACL warranty, just make sure you give a thorough looking over when purchasing, play some different content and play some coloured slide test patterns from YouTube to look for burn in (not that I’ve ever seen it in these newer models). Unless there’s a specific feature that the current models have that you want, I highly doubt any average person could tell the difference.

77” is harder to find, though I’ve also seen CX’s and C1’s go for $2500-$3000.

New - you can get pretty much any 65” for 3.5k, and in the past 77” CS’s were on sale for as low as 2.9k, with A80K’s and S90C’s also well under 4k.

Unless some ridiculous deal presents itself, it would definitely be worth waiting for Black Friday.

    • Thanks heaps mate

  • Have you made purchased yet ? What model you are looking for?

I am looking for C3 or G3 OLED and haven't bought yet. Waiting for some sale like BF.

      • Would this be consider a deal? Is about $600 cheaper when compared to JB

  • Sounds like a deal tbh!
