First time post

Not an all time low, but the last deal lower than this was in 2019. Can combine with "BIG10" if purchasing through Amazon App for an extra $10 off bringing it down to $455.99.

Compatible with PS3/4/5 and PC.

Apparently a pretty solid entry level wheel so picked one up myself to give some racing a go after keeping my eye on it for a sale for a few months!

Happy racing!

  • Good starting set of wheels and pedals - the wheel is better than the G29 in terms of smoothness and feedback force and no dead zone if I recall. But the pedals on the G29 may be better and its reliable I heard

    • $465.95 for a starter wheel? Jeez. I think I paid $50 for my Sega Saturn wheel.

      • yeah, 460 is a bit high compared to the G29 - I got mine for $260 and G29 has gone lower - and I still didn't find it worth it as I am too lazy to start up the set up during my seldom free time - have been too busy to spend hours on the racing sim rig

        • The g29 and its gear driven, notchy, noisy, grabby, central dead zone nonsense isnt even remotely comparable to this belt driven silk.

          • @Ademos: I picked up a G27 recently as all I play is older arcade racers (Daytona, etc) and it's perfect for that, with a few modifications of course. Having a 3D printer is a Godsend plus a couple of O-rings puts a stop to the rattling.

            • @Dreamcazman: Care to point point me in the direction of any guides? I have a G27 with DriveHub adapter so I can use it across Xbox/PS/PC, and it’s fine for my purposes, but I’d happily make it a bit quieter/smoother…

@xdirex: There's no one guide unfortunately, just bits I've gathered from muliple places.

Things I've done, installed heatsinks from Aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005427561146.html

As for the noise, I can't find the page atm, but it's due to the rotor in each motor moving in and out (this video shows what I mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LzEc8nqMDk) This can be mitigated by slipping a greased o-ring over the cog so it's between the cog and the motor housing. There are some mods which involve drilling holes and using screws but I don't think that's the best approach.

This is not just for the G27, all the other Logitech wheels also have this rattling noise issue, you'd think Logitech would've figured it out by now. When I first heard it, I thought I got sold a lemon, lol.

@Dreamcazman: Awesome, appreciate the reply, will look into some of this as I enjoy a bit of modding!

I know there are superior options out there but I still get a good experience from my setup (a few rattles aside), and the DriveHub makes it pretty versatile across consoles.

From what I’ve read and experienced, there really wasn’t that much difference in the force feedback from DFGT > G27 > G29.

            • @Dreamcazman: Sorry, but "I've only used the cheapest product on the market" isn't really a great place to be offering an opinion on what's "perfect" for any given use.

It's passable. It's fun. Once you know though, you can't go back.

              • @Ademos: It's all relative. I know the G27 is not the best wheel out there, but for a fraction of the price (incl shifter) I paid compared to a TM, it's fine.

For the time being, it's 'perfect' for what I use it for.

These are belt driven silk compared to that notchy gear driven nonsense.

        • How anybody can compare the G27/G29 to belt driven, then again i had the T500RS, heard this isn't much worse but.
