The price in title is after all stacking discounts have been applied, using a trade-in device valued at $5.

I was not able to complete checkout because Asurion (the trade-in provider) is broken for me but I expect it should work for others.

To get this price:

  1. Install the Samsung Shop app to take advantage of the 10% discount for your first in-app order. Use the app for the remaining steps.
  2. Add the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB to your cart. You must choose from the online exclusive colours only.
  3. Navigate to Computing & Display > Memory & Storage > Memory Card > EVO Plus microSD Card. Add 2 of the 64GB to your cart.
    This should now have activated the additional 20% off advertised here: https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/
    If it hasn't taken effect, try forcing your cart to update by incrementing the quantity of SD cards, then decrementing.
  4. Add a trade in device to take advantage of the $600 trade-in bonus. You can use the TradeUp app to generate a $1 code for generic headphones (Or so I've heard. Asurion doesn't work for me. I added a $5 Huawei Mate 20 for testing.)
    For reference, my total at this point is $1,382.
  5. Apply your 10% loyalty code.
  6. Apply your $100 loyalty code.
  7. Apply your $50 newsletter code.

For example, the 256GB model does not work, but the 1TB does. It may also apply to the S23 Ultra and Flip5. If it's not working, try testing combinations of other low-value products advertised in the above link instead of the SD cards.

                        • @911r: you probably have a point to argue if they charge you the admin fee for not returning the buds because it's their mistake for entering a non existent serial no.
                          Upon checking Asurion did have a serial no. applied to my Samsung buds $1 trade in. Was that a mistake as well from their end?

                            dont worry about it, the most important is if you say you trade samsung buds then send samsung buds

              • @cnsccy: I chatted with them about 3 days ago, CS said will submit it to their backend and I'll hear further about the return claim. Nothing since, no email yet about the instructions or even if they're ok with the return :(

                • @hanofee: Sounds rather complicated, i am sure Samsung needs a nudge sometimes to remind them. Just checked and got the refund from the return into my credit card yesterday

  • I selected $1 Apple Airpods for the trade-in by accident, wonder if they would still charge me $60 if I send them "other" earphone instead?

    • I was contemplating about sending them a different earphone (to save that $30 admin fee) instead of my initial trade in device. But decided against it because am concern they will look into it and cause more problems i.e. cancellation of bonus trade in discount etc (unlikely but hey…peace of mind). Decided to not return it and just cop the $30 late/non return fees and be silent about it.

      • I selected Other Earbuds. I made the effort to buy some cheap generic bluetooth ones from FB market place for $10. Ebay has $10 ones also but i needed them sooner.

            • @Miyagi: buds means earbuds. the wire ones are earbuds. it doesnt say bluetooth earbuds.
              headphone means the full can cover ear and go around your head hence the name is headphone

                      @Wideonwide1: there's an email from Asurion when they received it, but with a bit of delay. e.g: I checked my tracking in AustPost website, it said delivered on the 25 Oct, the next day (26 Oct), Asurion still sending me a reminder that they haven't received the device yet. I ignored it, then, on the 28 Oct, they sent me 2 further email, 1 is saying they actually have received the device + another saying assesment complete

      Companies do not need to provide refund for change of mind, most do but they legally do not need to.

          That is your problem unfortunately. In the terms and conditions, you cannot return special colours.

          "Does not include: iii. a Mobile Product that has been customised or made to order for a particular end user (e.g. an exclusive colour variant of a smartphone)"

            @Feeblely: Thats dodgy as. How come its exclusive. It got send to me straight away didnt have time to cancel it since order procressing and all of sudden its in my door.

    • How did you even pay $1500 for a 256GB S23U with all the deals posted and the trade in bonus? What else was in your order and was it ordered as part of the youmake bundle deals?
      Your comment on 14/10 says you ordered Fold 5, S23U and buds so was that how you made the youmake bundle 20% discount? Or was it the phone you said you just ordered on 20/10 and couldnt cancel the buds?

        He ordered 3 items to get 20% off thinking he could cancel 2 of them. Problem was, he ordered an online exclusive order which explicitly states no refunds for change of mind.

      I would suggest to check UAG magsafe case. But check on facebook marketplace, Gumtree first in case that you get a good price.

  • Has anyone got email from Asurion saying they didn't receive your device despite aust post tracking show delivered a week ago? Try to contact them through the link in email, but they said sending a verification code that never turn up. How pathetic Asurion is. If they charge me late fee, I will certainly ask for a charge back.

    My wife's trade in device was holding in Wetherill Park since last Thursday, not move an inch for a week, another pathetic service.

    My return is stuck at Wetherhill park for last 1 week via Australia Post and i received final notice today from Asurion.

    • The same here, probably there is a mountain of trade-in earbuds in Wetherill Park and Asurion doesn't want to pick up.

    • I'm in the same boat. Heard nothing. My headphones were delivered on the 1st November.

      • Got email from Asurion saying my trade in device is all good after assessment, even tracking shows the item is still in Wetherill Park since last Wednesday.

        I think despite tracking shown no movement, probably whole truck of earbuds, headphone were delivered to Asurion without scanning.

        Mine was delivered on 2nd Nov and I received email today that they have assessed the device (earphones) and confirmed all good.

  • Is anyone still waiting on the S23Ultra 512GB blue? Ordered on 20th October and still stuck on preparing order. Says on order "Arrives before official release on 14/11/2023 Standard Delivery"

      When you ordered, it would have said preorder with shipping on 14/11 delivery or similar. Not sure why it says arrives before official release but it might be the standard message for predorders for new release phones.

  • fold 5 256g blue finally dispatched, ordered on 20/10, so it is exactly 1 month. not sure why this one took so long. all my other s23u and fold 5 orders dispatched in 3 days after order. oh well, at least it will be here next monday.
