Why don't you just google it?

I did. And the pictures of the car hitting obstacles is hilarious.

    I wouldn't trust it

Yes you allowed to do this otherwise Telsa would have removed the feature. Would you based on Tesla's autonomous driving history yank land?

    • I thought itd be only for ,say, reversing out of your garage not drive around a car park.

I do remember ads for a Kia saying self reversing was not allowed in WA.

  • If you have good insurance then why not. Surely it wouldn't kill child if the government allowed this feature to even be an option here. And scratching someone's car wouldn't be the end of the world.

That's just not true. No technology is infallible. It's probably also why it's speed limited.

      • Is it more infallible than a human driver in a parking lot?

        • I'd say on the whole it's worse. Yeah sure Teslas can react better than humans, but they also seem to enjoy running into planes, poles and other things that a human would easily avoid.

The tech just isn't there for FSD and the complexities of it are laid bare by the fact that Elon has said it would be available every year for the last decade

    • Elon: We will put people on Mars by 2022
      Also Elon: Autopilot is hard

  • "abiding by lane marking and stop signs"

Because private carparks definately do regular maintanence and ensure the markings and signs are not faded or obscured.

    • It has also been shown that Teslas "auto pilot" tech is absolute rubbish is leagues behind the competition.

The footage of it wanting to run over a cyclist comes to mind.

      • It is unusual that it can see parked cars and cyclists on the left side of the road, but autopilot doesn't merge to the right side of the lane to provide a bit more clearance.
