maybe put price on the title

    • +4

Havent done a deal in forever :(

  • +14

    Ironic that aesthetically it isn't … low-key.

    • +2

      It's classic LOKI though.

  • Are you building a mini that you take with you on all your flying for on the go gaming?

    • +4

Yep I always have a gaming setup and by hacking through into ACARS, I can get satellite internet

  • +1

    SF750

    • +5

      🐐

    • Holding for a hopeful deal. Long overdue!

      • Its the greatest SFX PSU, period.
I am thinking that BF you may be able to score it for under $200, hopefully.

        • Have been holding…. holding….

        • +1

Where can you even buy it at regular price? OOS everywhere

          • @solidfruit: Oh crap when did that happen … nooooo, I don’t want SFX-L!!!

    • But that doesn't exist in Australia, am I missing something?

    • …is much more expensive

    • I don't know much about their testing methology, but https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ puts both these PSUs in the same A-tier, except the Loki is ATX 3.0 compatible.

If being SFX-L instead of SF isn't a downside, perhaps it might be better to get this newer model.

    • The Corsair SF450, SF600 and SF750 have been discontinued… They have been replaced by the SF850L and SF1000L

in reviews the SF850L is the king of efficiency beating everything out in the market when it comes to low idle power usage 20-80w. Even beating standard ATX platinum and titanium power supplies :)

Its also overall better in every way VS the SF750 ….The SF850L is Cybernetics platinum rated.

Lots of people who return their SF750 under warranty are being sent out SF850L as a replacement

        • +1

Check the SF850L reviews… its beating the SF750 a everything else.. its the new King Number one SFX Power supply
( Branded by reviews not me ) I've linked one below

        • +1

I trust power supply reviewers who test the numbers these things pump out and how efficient they are with vampire power leakage and power ripple, power protection, fan noise, transient power handling ext. over any sffpc enthusiast who don't have the hardware to do any solid testing.

I have a Great wall power supply that i paid $50 for 15 years ago and its been running fine no issues this whole time..
I think its good.. but its probably dog poop in all the metrics that matter :) i just cant test any of those apart from the watts consumed from the wall using a power meter. I don't trust myself to know whats good or not. why would i trust other random people online haha

            • @povogamer: I like the thermaltake standard SFX power supplies. They are not bad going by revires but just double check reviews on the unit you wanna buy when you find it first.

They are priced the same as the Corsair units

        • Corsair's official response is THEY are on their way to being discontinued

Sorry … not 100% yet…. The SF450, SF600 and SF750 are VERY hard to buy.. .What little stock is in the marketplace is trying up.. get it while you can if that's what you want.

Doing a quick search you can only find way overpriced options in the $280+ price range from no name websites that look bogus.

Over at Amazon they have been Temporarily out of stock. for going on 10 month now. I tried to order one on Amazon at the start of the year… i waited 3 months and Amazon canceled my order and apologized.

People on reedit are receiving SF850L as warranty replacements

Its not really looking like they will be reviving their production.. The SF850L/1000L PCIe 5.0 are essentially their replacements

          • @vid_ghost: So is CM 850 gold sfx the next best then if don’t want to go sfx-l? Seems it

  • +1

Solid SFF psu,it's made by Great wall,it's the same PSU as the new corsair RMe ones for 2023 made by OEW Great wall.

Only place they aren't so great is the transient hold times, otherwise very good

    • Some of these LOKI 750-1000w units have coil wine at high loads.. Same with the SF850L-1000w :) .. its common with SFX power supplies but its no were near as annoying as coil wine from a high end graphics card

  • Would the cables on this be long enough for a mid tower?

    • Its more suited to SFX units - but you can always get cable extensions (+ bonus aesthetics)

      Dimensions - 125 x 125 x 63.5 mm

      Cable length

      Motherboard Power Cable x 1 (450mm)

      CPU Cable x 2 (550mm)

      PCI-E Gen 5 16-pin Cable x 1 (450mm)

      PCI-E 1-to-1 Cable x 1 (450mm)

      PCI-E 1-to-2 Cable x 1 (450mm)

      SATA 1-to-3 Cable x 2 (300+200+100mm)

      Peripheral 1-to-4 Cable x 1 (300+100+100+100mm)

      Addressable RGB Cable x 1 (800mm)

ATX to SFX adapter bracket x 1

      • i bought the 1000w version of this in January/Feburary (still unopened) and thought SFX-L was just a asus naming scheme, i have a series 11 intel in a lian li 011 - concerned it wont reach the CPU power over the back plate. Can't return because the seller was a literal nightmare.

        • +1

You can always get a cable extension, about $40 off PCCG.
Otherwise flip it on classifieds, marketplace or ebay

          • @AircraftFreight: thanks man the extension is a good idea, didn't think they existed for those yet -cheers

            • +1

@Misgolas: CableMod PRO ModMesh Cable Extension Kit's are $75 from PCCG and are very very good
Cooler Master's Extensions are also good for $49

        • I use these cable extensions from Ebay in white for both of my home PC's They are flawless and super reliable.. tested before and after power draw is the same….Highly recommend them.. no issues at all over the past 2 years of use.

          PC1 - Ryzen 5700X + RX6800 on a Corsair RM850X Shift 2022
          PC2 - Ryzen 5600 + RX6600XT on a Corsair RM750X Shift 2021

  • This or SF850L? quiter&sleeved cables vs better everything power wise

    • The Corsair SF850L is a better power supply but the cables are not sleeved

The Asus ROG LOKI SFX-L 750W has sleeved cables and 10 years warranty VS 7 years on the corsair.

I would get the LOKI SFX-L 750W because the cheapest Corsair SF850L at the moment is $250 vs $189 for the LOKI

Both these power supplies are a little longer then the standard SFX. Both are made by Great Wall :) OEM I've got a 550w great wall power supply i paid $50 for that's still running after 15 years of use..LOL .. its on 24/7 these days and still going strong.

SF750 Platinum from Corsair which is $232 currently

Where can I find this? seems to be oos everywhere

Also, might want to categorise this under computing

Looks like now its only Tassie pickup.. :(

      • Its newer version is SFX-L and is $249 after coupon code HGTSAVE

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175816357586

        • The SF450, SF600 & SF750 is on its way out… run out stock is super low to non existent

Who would spend $249 on the SF850L when the above ASUS is $189 (better deal at the moment)… also last month it was $229 from that SAME Ebay seller with coupon code.. wait for a better deal to pop up on the SF850L

Also Amazon are always selling it for $249 ( its not a good deal or a sale price its the normal price )
          https://www.amazon.com.au/CORSAIR-SF850L-Modular-Low-Noise-S…

    • Oh man this has happened deadly recently, like in the last week …. have been monitoring for sub $235, but now likely have to cop $250… don’t want sfx-L !!

Wonder if any restock witll happen at Umart etc

      • The issue is not even the price, you literally cannot get it cos it’s out of stock everywhere. The amazon au listing has been on backorder for months.

Damn, just bought this Cooler Master V650 SFX PSU for $175

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175677639434

    • That is a standard SFX…(smaller unit) this Loki is a SFX-L its longer by 2.5cm so yours will be easier to fit in all ITX Cases.. not apples to apples

  • +1

It was too good of a deal to pass up!. I've placed an order. Thanks OP :)

  • Graded one of the Cooler Master V750i (currently on deal at Amazon)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Cooler-Master-Semi-Fanless-Full-Mo…

    • +2

Thats an ATX PSU and not an SFX/SFX-L PSU?

      • yes it is one of the recent ATX 3.0 PSUs..

    • That cooler master looks good… :) price is ok too. but the ASUS LOKI 750w is better.. even if being used with a bracket to fit a standard ATX case and needing extentions to make the cables longer.

When corsair updates their RMX series with PCie 5.0 they will be the new go to ATX option for price to performance

  • +1

    Sold out

I knew it would at that price :)

    • +1

You can still pick it up in Richmond or Nunawading (need to get my hiking map out for that one)

      • With free postage anyone who wanted one had lots of time to order… the deal was up for 2+ days
Looks like the price has jumped back up everywhere in this drive next cheapest is scorptec at $259… "This was probably the only good click frenzy tech deal this year"..

  • +1

And both Delivery and C&C is Sold Out

    • +1

Yep.. This was a very under-rated deal for a premium power supply. ..

I will be keeping this thing for 10 years and making sure to use the warranty… ASUS is huge.. its not going anywhere

      I know how

      1x 750w ASUS Loki SFX-L - PCIe-5
      1x 750w Corsair RM750X 2021
      1x 850w Corsair RM850X Shift 2022 - PCIe-5

All with 10 years warranty .. wont be buying another power supply for at least a decade haha.. Never planing to use high end power hungry parts

  • +1

Price back up to $326.50 :) wow 2-5 days ETA on new stock

    • Just received mine and installed it into my new O-11 Mini, plenty of clearance.
Just need to wait for these 2 SL120 INF Reverse fans to come in and things can all come in together.
