      pay in USD

      • -1

Whats the point.. if you pay in USD your bank charges you the $6 conversion fee anyways :)

        • +8

you use a credit card with no conversion fee

          • +1

@garetz: which credit card with no conversion fee? Thanks

            • +1

@getit: There's heaps around these days .. I think I have at the moment, Bankwest platinum, HSBC something, Citibank something, 28degreees something.

              • @matt-ozb: …and CommBank Ultimate

                • @trippy: I wasn't listing everything .. like I said, heaps of banks have them now .. I was just listing the ones in my wallet at the moment

This was an early bug, look at your article date. I personally have one, no issues, great drive id buy another, there was a few firmware updates since then ..

      • +1

Thank you for your feedback, then I can buy with confidence.

        • +2

Trust is hard to get but easy to lose.

          • @vid_ghost: It should be that the easier it is to get, the easier it is to lose.

        • Just make sure it has the newest firmware before you use, download ‘Samsung magician’ to check and update the firmware.

  • great price ! fastest system SSD I owned !

Estimated delivery: Nov. 29, 2023 .. That's a bit of a wait.. Black Friday sale will most likely have this drive for around $200 anyways… its been around $200 many many times this

This is, for sure, expensive, However, if you buy SSD buy Samsung, and perhaps TV but not sound bar/system or phone.

    • Thanks for your opinion, even if its wrong.

      • -4

Thank you for your opinion even if it is wrong. (not its. it should be 'it is', its is a possessive pronoun. e.g. its, theirs, yours, mine, hers). for example: The flower is beautiful. Its (flower) buds are blossoming. Btw we don't have to agree on items, tools etc.

        • +1

Unless you changed your opinion then it's correct then.

    • rtings have had the Q930 Q990 soundbars as excellent value the last couple of revisions in their reviews.

  • Get outta here with the USD dawg

  • +4

    It’s also 3,478.35 Lira, 10,305.02 Rupees and 2,332.97 Rand.

I prefer to quote AUD in Australia though

    • ? usd is the currency you pay on amazon US. I did quote the aud equivalent after conversion but the actual aud charged will vary depending on conversion rate

  • What is the warranty / return service like for Amazon.com (USA). I know you need to deal with Amazon USA directly. I think some OZBers mentioned return labels are now provided? Last time I had to return items to Amazon USA (years ago, Amazon sent me the wrong item), I still had to pay the return postage first, then get it rebated.

Samsung AU won't do the warranty from SSDs which are not AU stock so best to confirm Amazon USA will provide the warranty service. You most certainly don't want to deal with Samsung USA yourself (unless you don't mind forking out international postage).

    • +1

unfortunately I believe the return labels are only if you buy from amazon US via AU, so in this case it would be pay out the pocket and then amazon US rebate method that you mentioned

  • No deal

    Crucial T700 for ever

    Well at least for 2023

    • T700 2tb is $529.

      • Sure .. but there are also cheaper 2Tb options this deal also.

        • Sure, but it’s not an apple.

    • Not the Team Z540?

      • too late .. already bought T700 last weekend.

        • +2

Enjoy. Hopefully by the time I can game again (damn toddlers) direct storage is a thing in games.

  • I am waiting for the 4TB version to go down to low $400’s - sub $390 (like the WD SN850X did). I don’t like the high shipping fees Amazon US charges.

    • +2

Just grab the Lexar NM790 - it goes for around $250 or under for the 4TB. You'll never notice the difference in real world usage.

      • I like my SSDs with DRAM.

        • There's not really any real world difference in day to day usage. I'd be surprised if there's anything that you're doing that the Lexar can't handle with similar real world performance to the Samsung.

      • The price has jumped a bit on the 4TB and as their rep said it seems the price increase is here to stay

  • I would like to get a 4TB SSD with a heatsink for my PS5, unfortunately, it is not available yet.

  • Back in stock, but Dec 8 delivery date
