I want to get a streaming device that has 5GHz capability so it doesn’t cut out as much, as my TV only does 2.4GHz. I know Chromecast with Google TV has it but not sure about Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite with Alexa Voice Remote (2022) and which one would be better?
Ps I don’t need 4K so HD is fine.
Definitely chromecast. the firestick lite doesnt control power and volume (unless the new one does) so you'll always need the TV remote around. And the fire TV remote app also doesnt have those buttons for me.

thats is wrong, i bought a firestick and the remote can control turning the tv on and off and volume
Did you get the lite?? Coz I just looked it up and it still doesn't have those buttons.
And I've got the firestick Max and the fire TV app still doesn't have volume or power buttons. The sleep button only puts the stick to sleep so my TV is still on. Thought it wools adjust according to whatever stick I have but nope.
I cant remember but been couple of years, search how to pair firestick to tv remote, there's plenty of guides on internet/youtube
What about Shield?
First time I've heard of it but for that price I would rather an Apple TV as we have all Apple but don't need it for TVs…
I'm not sure how flexible Apple TV is but we have pretty much everything we need loaded on the Shield. KODI, Smart tube and Amazon Prime etc.
If price is same or similar go google imo purely for the ui
