Aldi doesn't sell everything I want, so no, not simple for everyone.

  • looks good

  • +1

    Active now
Just signed up plus you get the first month free so $35 for 13 months

    • Same, all good here. Got 13 months for $35 and the online code is good to go so I can do an online order and use it.

  • +2

Just signed up as a returning customer. Checkout screen said $35 and I was charged $70…

Guess I’m messaging their support in the morning!

    • Same thing happened to me with Delivery unlimited, didn't get 30 day free trial and was charged $119 not $59.50.

      • +2

Update. Rang Everyday Rewards this morning and they have opened a case to look into the issue and will notify me of the outcome… great.

  • -1

If you sign up MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, I was not given the 30 day free trial for Delivery Unlimited AND was charged the full price of $119. Not happy.

EDIT: Talking to Woolworths customer service, I didn't get the free trial because I have apparently subscribed to delivery unlimited before. Still trying to work out why I didn't get the discount.

    • Where are you chatting to them? Tried an online chat but it says they’re not back till 9am.

      • Just the online chat on the woolworths website. Spoke to the bot, went through the prompts and asked to talk to a human.

        • Weird, their website is also telling me they are shut.

          • @walshy1009: I'm quite surprised that I am talking to someone at this time of the night myself.

            • @buku: I bet haha. I’ll just wait till morning.

              • @walshy1009: best of luck, i'll post on here whatever the outcome is.

                • @buku: Interesting, their site now says “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with signing up to Delivery Unlimited, please try again later. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

                  • @walshy1009: Interesting, might be a bug in the system

                    • @buku: The resolution was that I was given a store credit for the $59.50 to apply to my cart, can be used anytime in the next 36 months apparently.

  • Does the 10% discount apply to the first purchase made or can you choose when you use it?

    • It's a coupon code that you have to add to your basket on checkout, so you can use it whenever you want, before it expires for that month

      • Thanks is it online only or can you do this in store at the self checkout?

        • I'm not too sure about that as I have never used it in store, but I believe that you can use it both online and in store.

        • +1

If you scan your rewards card in store, when you go to pay it will pop up asking if you want to use your 10% off on that shop if you haven't used it.

        • You can do it at normal checkout or self. I've not done it at self checkout. At the normal one, they just ask if you want to use your 10% off each time.

          • @cunningdrew: Unless they screw up and don't check, even when you said at the start of the $500 shop that you wanted to use the 10 per cent off…

    • +2

What is my Extra Discount, and how do I use it?

You’ll receive your 10% discount each month, which you can choose to use on both one shop at Woolworths and one shop at BIG W, in-store or online, every month. The discount can be applied on one shop up of your choice to a value of $500 at Woolworths, and another shop up to a value of $500 at BIG W each month - which means that’s up to $100 back in your pocket every month.

You’ll receive an email each month letting you know when your Extra Discount is available to use.

The discounts are renewed at 12:01am (your local time) on the first day of every calendar month and expire at 11:59pm (your local time) on the last day of the calendar month.

Shopping in-store? Simply scan your Everyday Rewards Card at the checkout at Woolworths or BIG W and choose to use your 10% off when you pay, on one shop before the end of the month. Look out for the prompt at the checkout.

Shopping online? Link your Everyday Rewards Card to your Woolworths Online or BIG W Online account and use the promo code at the checkout, on one shop before the end of the month. You can find the promo code to use for online shops at Woolworths and BIG W in the My Account section of the Everyday Rewards app and your online account. You’ll need to have signed up for an online account at Woolworths or BIG W and link your Everyday Rewards Card in order to use the promo code.

  • Thanks. No idea where you'd enter a code at self checkout and I prefer to do my own shopping in store so that's why I asked. Maybe someone else knows for sure?

    edit:

    nevermind found this

"Enjoy 10% off every month on one shop at Woolworths and one shop at BIG W in-store or online* - that’s up to $100 in savings every month"

  • I'm using Woolworths mobile service which gives me a 10% off each month. Wondering if I can combine that with the annual membership 10% off😊

    • +1

As in 20% in one transaction? no,you cannot.

However, you can get 10% off twice. Once for being a mobile customer and one for Everyday Extra.

      • Thanks. 2x 10% off is still good enough.

  • I'm unable to change from monthly to yearly so i can get the discount. I'll have to contact support.

  • Found a dormant matching Woolies account and Rewards account and grabbed the Extras and Delivery for half price with a month free. Hopefully they'll get the payments figured out in the next month before I'm charged.

  • This is great! My wife has this on her card and we see a significant saving already. We were going to add it to mine so we can have 2x10% off shops per month. This is perfect timing.

I hate the idea you need a bloody Costco style membership for Woolies now, but the 10% off is a power play, worth $25 a shop for us.

    • +1

You don't need a Costco style membership for Woolies?

  • Signed up with this for my wife and I. Looking forward to being able to have a couple of WW online orders per month, since WW/Everyday Mobile ditched that.

  • For those within the free month already by chance…
Given I am in a current free trial to 8/11/23.. My thought process
Cancel the free month (the month is retained), which will run out on 8/12/23. At that point, will still be in the half price offer as above outlined by OP and resubscribe for half price, gets me 13 months.
    Anyone else?

    • +1

T/C says this promo runs to 20th Dec so why not.

  • +4

Just a heads up. Not every member gets a freebie every month.
I joined 16 months ago and have only had 11 freebies. (According to the app but I did not think I even had that many)
I recently read on a FB post that they are dragging it out to every 6 weeks but they seem to just be random.
Some people do get them monthly but there are a lot who don't.

When i originally joined it was $59 a year and you got 3 x points plus you could use 10% discount both instore and online once a month for both Woolies and Big W.
A few months ago they increased the price to $70, decreased the points to 2 x and took away any discount on online shopping and made it only instore at both.
After an uproar from members they recently reintroduced the discount for on line but it is supposed to be an either/or scenario, no longer both.

Getting a 10% off one shop (either online or instore) is probably the biggest drawcard but may only be worthwhile if you spend a lot in one shop.
The good thing is the now the Everyday rewards app has an EE tab that shows the savings and points earned on EE.
They way you get to see if it is really worthwhile.

I like having the insurance 10% plus the EE 10% and try to just do 2 big shops a month. I also try to pair it with any Bonus ER point offers i get where you have to spend a minimum amount over a week or few weeks.

My EE is expiring this month so i might cancel now and hope I can sign up for this $35 deal next month. Can only try.

    • +1

I get what you are saying, but they were trialing it and I am not shocked that the value prop has reduced a bit, I expected it (and benefited from being an early adopter)

I just keep it simple - I'm paying for the 10% discount, the rest is cream on top. I did the same as you and joined at $59 pa and now rejoining at $35 which is even better. But just taking the $70 RRP price, it's simple for me - can I make a single $117 shop once per month for a year without stretching what I'd normally buy?

Why $117? because it's 2 x $700 which would give me $140 in discounts over 12 months - no point paying $70 and just breaking even, this is ensuring I make double my money back.

Now that it's only $35, that same equation ensures I quadruple what I spend in returns. That's a 300% ROI on my investment. It's a high yield supermarket subscription investment

But being serious for a sec, if like me that $116 would be a dream low shopping bill once a month for you, you'd do okay out of the subscription, and the extra points and occasional freebies just add some sugar on top.

  • Talk about my worst timing in the world. I signed up yesterday 14/11 at the old price :'(
As a matter of principal I will now cancel that at the end of the free trial! But I think that I can get 2 Woolies shops in at 10% off. One before 1 December, & one 1-14 December.
PS. I just realised that this offer is until 20/12 and so I will use my 30 day trial and cancel. And then sign up to the $35 deal.

  • -5

Why do people keep supporting this greedy corporation by buying things like this??

    • +9

I suppose because we have to buy groceries somewhere and at least with this we get to save some money in doing so.

    • Some families spent $150 per week x 12 times 10% = that itself already save $180.

    • +2

If you already choose to shop there, then it is a calculation that some will find worth doing to see if this will save them money. But I wouldn't change where I shop for whatever.

    • What’s the alternative? Buy grocery at a higher price? Times are tough already

      • +2

Someone's gonna tell you that the answer is to shop at Aldi.

It probably is cheaper overall (I don't know, I don't shop there) but it's based on an assumption that everyone is in the same position.

10 years ago I could have easily shopped at Aldi but today I've got 2 young kids, a demanding job where things change constantly and my wife working different hours to me. There are some days where I know I need stuff for the kids lunchboxes but I'm not even going to be home until late at night and I've got other shit to do, I can just go on to WW or Coles's website and order $250 worth of stuff (which is totally normal if not cheap for a shop for us) and have it delivered the next day for free, or pick it up direct to boot on the way home from work.

When Aldi can do that, I'm in. Until then there are 2 choices.

        • +2

Actually when looking at Aldi prices I find the 10% off at Woolies comes in just as good or sometimes better especially when you consider the weekly specials that are often half price, and the Rewards points you earn that add up to bonus savings.

Aldi have Super Savers every month which may work out better at times but generally, I still choose Woolies for the savings and benefits.

Aldi may be perceived as cheaper but if you really compare, taking in all considerations, it isn't always so.

At the end of the day you have to do what works for you, your family and situation.

    • You think that's bad, how about people buying petrol and funding the Qatari-led terrorist groups?

Lots of shit we buy supports greedy corps, find ways to pay them less, this is one

  • +1

    Hitting some issues.. anybody else?

Please check that your details are correct and try again or contact your bank for further details.

    • Yes.

Was helping a family member sign up via the app and when trying to complete the payment, it just got stuck on the spinning orange circle, didn't receive any error message though.

  • Just wondering what the ‘extra perks’ have been on the past? (Question for existing subscriber)

    • +1

I've only had it two months, but the only perk I got was a bag of Essentials Chicken Nuggets (which was weird as I don't eat meat - and from the standard bonus point offers I get, it seems like they have already figured that out from my shopping habits!).

      • No meat in Essentials chicken nuggets!

        • Very good point!

  • +3

Neat! Signed up this morning and they offered the usual four week trial, as well as the 12 month period. So effectively 13 months for $35. Happy with that…

  • Will they send a new card or just use the existing woolworths rewards card?

  • +4

The 10% savings don't stack up for me as my biggest spend is less than $30. As a single person who loves to shop clearance sales and specials at Aldi, Costco and Coles I save more than 10% just price comparing and switching to competitors for weekly specials and loss leader products.

This scheme is more of a loyalty program you have to pay for to keep you from shopping at their competitors.

If it was Aldi offering the same scheme it might be worth it. At least I have chance to spend hundreds in a single shop. Eg. 70" TV, washing machine, electric bicycle, laptop, etc.

    • +1

I don't really shop at Aldi any more because, for what I buy at least, the savings are wildly overexaggerated (and I'm fed up of being forced to have my bag searched every time I'm there…), but there's nothing stopping you from getting the loss leaders from Coles/Aldi and then the standard-priced staples from Woolworths.

Granted it doesn't help you if you don't want to spend $30 in a visit, but I just bulk-buy stuff that isn't going to go off, and doesn't generally go on sale, once a month. It doesn't stop me saving more than 10% buying the specials in other supermarkets too.

      • +1

Aldi vs Colesworth generics are pretty much on par with pricing.

Colesworth loss leader specials are usually better than Costco's normal pricing. Costco only has great deals with coupons.

This would be a good stack on top of the half price specials at Woolies. Wish Coles did something similar as that is where I shop the most.

    • +2

To be fair this isn't really the subscription for you. It's like if I got netflix I'd consider it a bad deal - I get what I need from youtube for free, but it's not for everyone, it's just that it works for me. Groceries on the other hand, I got a young family and I'll spend about $600 a month and I ain't gonna try to split that between supermarkets or it would end up a second job, firstly comparing that much stuff between supermarkets and then finding the time to hit them all up. I don't even do that, I just order drive and collect from woolworths and pick it up on the way home from work. Theoretically I could almost make the RRP subscription back in a month at WW, except you can't shop milk and other perishables for a month, but you can see what the return is like when you do spend a lot.

  • If I use the 10% off is there any restriction on payment method? for example, can I pay using 4% off vouchers/gift cards obtained elsewhere.

    • No restriction

    • I store the gift cards in the rewards app and then pay with everyday pay which does gift cards first automatically.

      • does it use as many gift cards as you have? eg i could put 20 x $5 gift cards and just pay for a $100 purchase with everyday pay and it will automatically use the $100 total balance?

        • +1

Yes it will use all your gift cards in the single transaction even if there are multiple. Note it will use them in order from the top in your list.

      • Sorry for the silly question but I have gift cards in my everyday rewards app and I'm assuming to get this function to work I'd need an actual debit/credit card in everyday pay for it to work?

  • +1

I only see 25000 Rewards points for origin Broadband

  • 35,000 EDR points on Origin Internet plans

Cant find this deal anywhere, possibly removed?

      I cant see it either

      • Did some digging, hasn't started yet. 22nd-28th Nov, comes with 12 months Paramount+ access too.

          Thanks mate

        • Thanks

  • +1

Can confirm the 10% discount worked on 2 x vodafone 240gb sims with my grocery shop. Was half expecting it to count as a recharge and discount not be applied.

    • Yah, it works on any SIM card purchase in store

      • doesnt work on woolworths mobile, tried last week on $170 one.

        • I bought a 120gb/1 year starter kit with amaysim few weeks ago and got the 10% discount.

          • @neo335: I bought amaysim too, it worked, but not work on Woolworths Mobile sim pack 2 weeks ago.

            • @couger: I subscribed to the Everyday rewards plan today, can I still get 10% off on the Amaysim 125$ plan (available from tomorrow)? Do I have to buy it separately or along with some groceries :)

              • +1

@Utsav23: you can buy them together to save 10% all together as you can only use 10% off once in a month, however last time I have to pay by credit card as gift card not working on the sim pack.

  • +1

Can anyone advise/confirm if the 10% one off shop per Month, can be used with scan & go within the woolies app shopping in store? I find that quite useful then using self serve or assisted checkout.

    • +1

Yes you can, it will pop up to ask if you want to use the 10% when you checkout on the app.
Also as an fyi, you cannot use giftcards when using scan and go.

      • What is scan and go? If it's the QR code at the start, I've been using gift cards fine with that for months.

  • Damn. 11 days left on free trial. Short of starting a brand new account is there anyway to get the offer? And if I start new account will I still be able to link to Qantas for redemption?

    • +4

Just wait until your trial ends. Promotion runs from 0:00 AEDT 15/11/2023 to 23:59 AEDT 20/12/2023. To get 50% off the fee for your first year of Everyday Extra, sign up to an annual plan via the Everyday Rewards app or website. New subscribers or previous subscribers without a current active subscription only.

      • But trial runs 11 more days and promo will be over by then

      • +2

Oh. December. Sorry my bad. thought it was Nov. Awesome news!!

  • Do you get to choose when to apply the 10% off? Or is it off the first purchase you make each month?

And can anyone confirm if you can use multiple gift cards for one purchase? I have loaded 3 small value gift cards on the app and the total balance is showing. Is it like amazon where it just applies as a balance or do I need to select the gift cards I want to use?

    • No,you can use it whenever you like. Let's say; December..you have between the 1-31st to use it.

I don't think it works with gc

      • Do you get a prompt on the checkout screen to use it?

        • Yes,you do. You can also get 10% an online shop, too. < They got rid of it,but they brought it back (I guess due to the uproar)

  • -1

Am I able to apply 10% Woolworths mobile same time with Woolworths Extra 10% off to get 20% off in the same transaction?

    • No. They’ll have to be different transactions.

  • Nothing in the description about the Origin Internet plans.. how do you get the points for it?

    • I imagine you contact and add woolworths membership number

    • The Origin offer starts on the 22nd.

  • Hi guys is there an online code if you have insurance like in the past? I hoped I could do online shopping too but I can’t find the code.
