Sim Port out - Port Back in

I want to keep my number and wants to port out and port back in with same telco so bought a prepaid SIM card. To port out I bought amaysim, Optus SIM card for $2 but looks like they want minimum $10 recharge to activate the card. Is there any telco we can just activate SIM card and don’t need recharge. Thanks.

    Not anymore, the $2 sims from all providers require a charge of some kind for a port.

    There are a few $5 sims around as linked above that would work. Colesworth also often have good specials on lebara sims in store.
