The ultimate burner phone, costing less than $100 and with dual SIM (standby) with a dedicated MicroSD Card slot. Perfect for your kid's first mobile phone, or just a spare device to slot your Boost SIMS you've been buying lately and claiming those extra Snackback vouchers.

Runs Android GO (13). But will not run Pokemon GO, apparently, probably because of the tiny 2GB RAM.

  • Sweet burner phone for $98. Unlocked too.

  • Out of curiosity, how in Australia is it possible to have a a burner phone? Aren't there certain ID checks when buying a sim?

      Security theatre.
You need to give somebody's ID, but in most cases there is absolutely no effort to verify that person is you.
In the old days, you'd physically show your drivers license, and a person would see if the photo or signature matched. Not great security, but better than just knowing some numbers.

      • Aha! Colour me surprised, I'd always thought there was some next level security around sim cards…..I need to get out more!

    • thats locked

    • Would a Boost SIM (same as Telstra) work if it's locked to Telstra?
Edit: From previous posts here, it may or may not work
