Argh, buy it now at $239 or wait and hope and pray for $199 Black Friday……

      • That's the question

        • Looking at codinghelloworld's comment below re RRP - I didn't realise RRP was $249 last year - given that, I'm suspecting $239 might be as low as it's gonna go :(

@guyvb: the retail was $289 last year for the 32GB Signature, but it did drop to $199

  • Love my kindle. But feel stupid buying this at cost when it came out

Oh, I bought this one $199 from RRP $249 just more than a year ago. Now RRP is $299, inflation :(..

  • Are these worth it?

It is a question that requires personal judgement to answer and any answer may not be useful to you anyway.

To me it is good. The reason behind my verdict is that I'm happy with my paperwhite 10th from like 5 years ago. It was $189, and at the moment paperwhite 11th is $219, this signature edition is $239. With potential OW price beat it's like little inflation with one generation upgrade in 5 years time, and the signature version provides some interesting upgrade with very reasonable price increas (merely $20 or $18 in OW). And all the above analysis didn't include the current gift card bonus deals (10% value from WWS now OW and JB HIFI, and 15% off from Coles next week JB HIFI). But I won't buy it as my 5 years old paperwhite is still working fine.

I would recommend to wait for Cashrewards or Shopback to offer 10%-20% cash back for Amazon devices during Black Friday sales.

  • Use Gift Card Exchange GC for Amazon with GIVING6 coupon code Black Friday deal. Save another 6% on Kindle

    • Could also wait for a cashback offer to stack

  • $237 on Amazon

  • $237 at Officeworks, price matched
