How many sapphires are used to construct this watch?

    • OzBargain or OzSupplyChain?

Let's hope they come down a bit more!

When something makes Apple look cheap, I don't think it's going to be popular on ozbargain…

  • Says $1664 .

    • There is further 100 with coupon..no code, just tick the box

      • Coupon only available for the silver. Not that I want one. Happy with my current smart watch.

Ridiculous amount of coin for a smartwatch. Out of control.

    • +1

Not really, the tech in these is insane and you will have it longer than your smart phone. You can always get a Fenix 6 pro / Epic series for less than half the coin which is about 95% of the watch this is.

      • +4

You kind of confirmed how overpriced this is if you can grab a model that is 95% as good for half the price

        • That's what happens with the bleeding edge in technology like phones, computers, TV's, tablets and so on you can get the previous model significantly less than the latest and greatest.

For example this has ECG, that hardware adds a lot to the cost but for 95% of people is unnecessary for training and so on.

This is pretty much where we're at with smartphones these days.

          • @Chadlynx: Its true, 1-2 year old flag ship phones are 95% as good as current year flag ships, the only difference tends to be software updates fall-off for older phones which is basically how they force you to update.

The only reason I moved on from my LG was it was 2-3 Android versions behind and some apps stopped working and I'm too lazy to still do custom FW.

I am waiting on a 42mm epix pro or 7 pro sapphire to come in closer to $1100 - i think this is already achievable if i buy from amazon japan, not 100% certain the japan version will work the same or not though.
