Can Not Find a Queen Elizabeth II Regina Commemorative Memorial 50cent Coin Anywhere!

https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/2023-news-queen-elizabeth-ii-com…

I have been trying all day.

It's like every distributor got only a handful.

Frankly how dare the mint do a 25000 run of what would obviously be an extremely sought after coin!!!!!

How dare the mint not put them on their online store. That proves they knew that they needed to do a bigger mintage because they know their website is too pathetic to handle the load.

How dare the mint take the phone off the hook all day.

The royal australian mint have designed one of the most beautiful coins in their history for her and should be proud of that. But they have let us all down.

😤

Did anyone manage to get one?
(Or 10 that you are going to scalp? If so: boo!!!)

Distributor probably keeping for themselves as collectors pieces to resell in the future.

    • That is also my suspicion!!! It should be against the rules but im not sure if it is?

I'd just wait a bit. Once the FOMO driven by the press dies off the people buying it for $200 on ebay today will feel silly.

    how dare them do thing

  • Very rude that they didn't contact you directly before announcing the release.

    • If you are on their mailing list then they do announce future issues.

      • Does that give you priority on orders, then?

        • Not at all. You can no longer buy online from the RAM, only in person or on the phone.
Have not bothered to try the phone approach but I would suggest it would be a long process on hold as the eBay scalpers swamp the phone line(s).

          • @Ocker: Given the recent RAM report found 3000 breaches there's no way I'd deal with them in any way.

  • Should've gone to the mint itself

    • Yes but its such a long drive interstate

  • Ditto!
Though admittedly i haven't tried looking

Scalpers have a field day with the RAM releases these days.
This coin was sold by the RAM today for $15.00 and scalpers are flogging on eBay for around $150-$250

This the world we live in.
      "Greed is good."
      "Self is all"

    • Its ridiculous. Why dont they do larger mintages, or even increase their prices?
