Roller Shutter Smart Remote Controller

Hi ,

I recently got roller shutters installed on 4 windows and the installer provided me the remote to control those shutters.

Motor:CW
Remote Model: HTR017D ( Freq: 433.92 Mhz)

I wonder if there is any way I can make this" Smart" so that I can control it via internet and/ or schedule shutter open and close timings.
I am thinking about on of the below solutions .

  1. Installing Tuya Smart IR/RF transmitter that supports 433.92 MHz . I have already installed a Tuya Smart IR controller with in-built temp/humidity sensor ,purchased from Aliexpress couple of years ago to control my AC and it never missed a beat .

  2. SONOFF RF 433MHz BridgeR2 Gateway Smart Hub Remote Controller Wireless Switch

What are your thoughts ? Please feel free to provide your suggestions, if you know a better solution.

Thank you in advance

  • Yep, option 1 should work. Or get a Broadlink RM Pro.

    • Thank you . I can see something called "Broadlink Pro RM4 " on Amazon .
Only part I am not sure about is how to program the control for each motor ( I have 4 shutters installed ) .

      • Yes, I think so. The Tuya or the Broadlink have an app where you can set it to learn one button from the remote. Then after pressing that button, the Tuya/Broadlink can replay that button on a schedule. Repeat for each of the buttons on the remote. If the remote has a "shutter number" button, I think you'll be able to switch between each of the shutters and program the buttons individually.

        • Thank you !! Really appreciate your response.

@Deceptic0n: The Tuya/Broadlink won't work if the remote uses rolling codes.

            • @skid: ^ This. All my shutters are rolling codes except for a single one that was already there before me.

    Hi All ,

I purchased a Tuya RF IR remote control device from Aliexpress and very happy with the product after 2 months of use.
Remote control learning process was very easy and I am not able to control all shutters ( 4 of them ) together or individually. Also it works fine with Mitsubish and Rinnai Split AC .
RF range is approx 15 meters and IR is line of sight operation and never missed a beat

My earlier comment was unpublished as it had the link to the actual product.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions .
