If you know what you're doing, you probably won't have any issues assembling it. But, this is using bottom of the barrel components, not even a Shimano tourney rear derailleur
For $99 nothing can go wrong, buy it for your mum, sister, girlfriend of wife as long as you're good at DIY and be ready to be called anytime for setting something up.
If the females in your life are this good, how do you go when their $5K bike gets a puncture?
Incidentally, the auto road service club RAA in SA does push bike callouts…. probably a national thing.

Got my chuckle for the day with the review:
"As it was not an assembled bike we requested Costco to assemble it and we will pay the cost. Since they said that they don't do assembling we had to return the bike"Someone bought a box and didn't work out they had to put it together? I suggest you have to discount stuff like that when assessing reviews.
4 out of 9 reviews are 2 star or below. Dont think its worth the hassle of assembling and then ultimately returning it for refund.
