oh wow gta 6 - but everyone knows GTA already attained perfection in 2004?
I think after the F2P style monstrosity that GTA V's online multiplayer turned into (despite being a paid title), it's not worth purchasing anything from Rockstar for any price.
I wonder if they bothered to dedicate any of the hundreds of millions of dollars of profit to giving GTA VI's online multiplayer something other than a peer to peer connection model. They just have to settle for merely a high amount of profit rather than wringing for every last drop.
My guess is probably not, because the peer to peer model didn't stop brain dead idiots from purchasing GTA V and RDR2.
I do understand your cynicism to be honest, the obvious price gouging on the RDR2 and GTA multiplayer and how badly they dealt with the re-release of the triple GTA pack while also removing the originals from the store to force people to purchase that one. Rockstar definitely knows how to make a buck.
Still though, can't fault the fact that they do make great games, if they at the very least ensure the GTA 6 single player is micro-transaction free and they put work into it anywhere near GTA5/RDR2 then I'm tentatively hoping it will be great.
Yes, I agree the core games themselves are great (as in, the base story that is built into the game on release), but the monetisation is outright shameful and predatory.
The core team of staff working on the core game are probably very talented, but also probably have very high salaries, hence the extremely aggressive monetisation that tends to happen in the years following the initial release.
It's still hard to believe that they think it's not worth hosting a few cloud instances for dedicated servers in a few regions around the world, rather than this peer to peer nonsense.

The NPC and vehicle density, as well as their variety, is insane. The facial animations look amazing too.
I'm looking forward to seeing some gameplay in future trailers

First thoughts:
- There's no way the final game will be that populated (people, cars and wildlife) - but I'd love to be proven wrong.
- I hope there's no real-life crossover with the social media stuff.
- Hated the music.

Whatever Rockstar showcases in their trailers, is usually indicative of what the final release will look like.
I think social media will play a fairly large role in VI - whether it may be what Rockstar is trying to critique on, or if its a major gameplay mechanic. Will have to see more trailers to determine.
The song is not my cup of tea, but reading the lyrics is interesting. Verse 3 could be interpreted as some sort of split between the two main characters in VI, whether it be through betrayal or going their own ways. Might also not even be related to the game's story, and merely just a fitting song about love that Rockstar wanted to use.

Looks incredible, obviously. But I have decided I absolutely won't be purchasing a console to play this game and will wait for the PC release. The suits at Rockstar expect me as a PC player to purchase the game twice, which is enough to dissuade me entirely. Also the fact that Sony seems to be releasing all its exclusives to PC after acouple years anyway makes purchasing a PS5 far less enticing.
