Lost Samsung S23 Phone on 7th December (Last Known Location Doncaster)

I lost a Samsung S23 with a black armored casing on 07/12/2023 around 8:28pm in Docklands outside Bendigo Bank building (it was left on a metal bench, probably slipped out of my pocket).

The last known pinged location according to Samsung SmartThings, last known location was Unit 4 Angus Grove at Doncaster at 10:04am 09/12/2023 earlier today

If anyone manage to find or locate the phone, finders reward will be offered for its safe return (contains important family photos and videos). Please contact me by emailing [email protected] or 0466352770. Thank you

    GC or cash?

    • cash

  • Angus Grove at Doncaster

Consider it gone. I've been down that street.

  • Oh wow, what a bummer!

    Hope you find it soon…
Don’t forget to backup your photos using Google photos in the future, they’re pretty good

    • yeah, i guess you're right….that's depressing (all those memories gone) :(. There's no sim card installed on that phone so calling it isn't an option

Already lodged a police report and issued out a lock notification with my contact details through my Samsung SmartThings account

    • What is backup process like?

Is it secure? I worry about someone accessing all my files?

  • Check the police station in case anyone handed it in

    • According to Samsung SmartThings, it's still at Angus Grove address at Doncaster earlier today this afternoon.

When lodging the police report, they said they will only classify this as a lost report and i will need to wait at least 48 hours before they classify this as a stolen theft case (There could be a possibility the person will hand it in)

I was debating whether i should go directly to the address and knock on the door

      • It probably doesn't hurt.
Although cops have knocked on my door before (twice, actually) asking me if I picked up a phone because it's supposedly pinged at my location (Approximate, I suppose)

        • the cop i was talking to when following up the report said, i shouldn't be knocking on the door myself asking for my phone. The risk of aggressive behavior is there

@lute248: I wonder if you could tape a note to their front door asking them to hand it in to the local cop shop. A bit nerve wracking though. Would want to do it before they do something irreversible to the phone.

@lute248: Lol. Go knock on the door. Have $100 ready.
