Was good when it worked. Handy to have around the house for the odd screw job. The variable speed was definitely useful. Purchased one back in 2021. Recently failed, refused to charge/battery issue. So ymmv.

I know in the previous model, it was pretty easy to swap out the battery, if you know how to solder.

It was just a 18650 Lithium Battery with tabs.

Thanks! I now need a deal for a soldering iron.

If you're looking for a portable soldering iron, I would recommend the Pinecil - which can be powered by a QC/PD Power Bank.

Note: Delivery is flat rate, so I recommend purchasing additional accessories (extra tips, silicon USB-C cables, shell, stand, etc) or spliting the cost with friends or family.

  • OOS it seems

  • Micro usb, that sux.

    • I got one of these, same brand different model, earlier this year and it had usb C. I think it was cheaper too. Actually I think it was Black and Decker.

      • Was going to say, I'm pretty sure all Bosch IXO are still Micro-USB.

yep current ixo gen 7 is still micro-usb…

      • That didn't have variable speed, so not even remotely comparable.

        • Yeah it does, just pull the trigger softly.

  • Bought mine a couple years ago for like double the price. Still going strong.

  • Get one with the onboard bit storage and rotate changing and you won't look back :)

  • Last month I bought the Bosch Home & Garden 3.6V Cordless Electric Screwdriver Gun with 2 Attachments 10 Screwdriver Bits & Case (IXO 7) for $55.30 on Amazon. Attachments were the offset and right angle driver which sell for $20+ each and are very useful! . Now selling for $100 up for the kit, now that was a bargain. Note: IXO is now 7th generation.
