        • Here before the “Samsung paid me to use this phone” comments.

  • +5

It will be cheaper with 5 different stacked codes and trade in, in the near future.

  • +2

It's been $999 for a few weeks now. It's probably worth holding on until the s24 arrives next month… I'd expect the s23 to drop in price.

    • +2

I was a bit sad to see articles indicating that the S24 camera is mildly upgraded at best and the S25 is getting some big fundamental change which should be huge (Sony sensor? something?)

Annoying, I haven't had a new phone in 5 years and I kinda want top of the range when I finally cave.

      • Welcome to Samsung World

        • +1

I left Samsung World 5 years ago because the idiots went curved glass, I'd love to come back but they're not making it easy.

Google are idiots too, the Pixel is a joke. What a mess Android phones are.

      • I've been running my mid range Moto for just over 5 years now.

The Tik-Tok-Tok cycle for cameras suck.

        • +1

I just want really really really good phone cameras. Cause my phone is still fast enough, love the shape and size, battery is still somehow good. I got all the features I need, like for real, I'd just like slightly better performance, maybe 20% more battery and really goddamn good cameras.

I don't even care about 4G speeds, 5G would just be a nice bonus.

@hamwhisperer: I agree. Due to that I'd rather get a Snapdragon S23 over an Exynos S24.

            • @Fobsessive: I don't think we're getting Exynos here are we? I thought that was only US and parts of asia?

I have 0 interest in Exynos junk

              • +1

                @hamwhisperer: We got exynos before.

                • +1

@xoom: I just checked and saw the "international"model will ship with Exynos.

It's hilarious, if they think people will buy that rubbish?

I can't believe they're STILL segregating them like this!

              • @hamwhisperer: Before S22 we got Exynos

                • @Fobsessive: It's been a long time, I had S3, S4, Note 2, Note 5 and then I left with the curved glass stupidity.

Back then I didn't follow the chipset so much, but I do recall people having issues with certain phones and not being able to Cyanogen mod and other stuff because they had 'the bad chip'

All my googling tells me the Exynos is trash, I'm already on the fence but if they make the Aussie one Exynos, it's good, it'll save me at least a grand and I can try and do a full 6 years with a single phone.

            • @Fobsessive: This is why I finally bought an S23 + last week. The crap chip for the + level phone in the s24 is a dick move…

  • +3

It will be cheaper with 5 different stacked codes and trade when s24 comes out.

  • +5

It will be even cheaper with 10 different stacked codes and trade when s30 comes out.

    • It'll be cheaper when the nuclear apocalypse happens and mobile networks go dark.

  • It will be cheaper with the king of customer service, Mr Muzeeb.

I read somewhere that it will be cheaper with 5 different stacked codes and trade when the Galaxy S24 comes out in Australia.

    • Read this next year..
It will be cheaper with 10 different stacked codes and 2 trades when s25 comes out

  • +1

I'm holding out for the day when they pay us to take it, with 20 stacked codes, a trade-in, and a personal thank you note from the CEO

  • Got this for $20 by swapping S22

    • How to get S22 ?

      • Swap with S21

        • How to get S21?

          • @nfr: Swap with S20.

            • @xoom: How to get swap with S11?

              • +1

                @deltaV: C-c-c-combo breaker.

    • Nice. I held off on purchasing a Pixel 8 Pro a month ago because of underwhelming hardware. Glad I did, I'll just get a S23+ or S24+ and then trade it in every 1-2 years.

      • No Miracast, no USB video out. Bad 4g issues and battery again, bad fingerprint again.

        Only positive non curved.

        What a joke

        • +1

Thought you were criticizing the S23+ in favor of the Pixel 8 but then realized it was the other way around :)

          • +1

@quanticism: I love the shape of the thing too, just fantastic curved corners and back for easy to hold but flat front, Pixel 8 Pro would be amazing with iPhone 15 Cameras, Pixel User interface and Samsung processor / 5G stuff.

      • +1

About the only thing better on the Pixel is less bloat ware. My 23+ 512g needed 60G of memory for the crap they added in…

  • Does anyone have 5 spare codes they can share?

  • Thanks for the S20 bud.

  • So do I have to actually send in my trade in? :p

  • It's been cheaper - with 5 trade-ins and stacked comments.

  • +1

You can get Galaxy Fold 512 GB with thsi price - with 5 different stacked codes and trade in

  • +3

Keep in mind the S24 launches in 2 weeks.

    Contact government for coupon
    Contact apple for coupon
    Contact family members for coupon
    Contact embassy for coupon
    Contact bunnings for coupon
    Contact ikea for coupon

    • -1

Trade in family members? Easy there pimp master.

  • +3

Some of the comments are really lacking maturity.

Anyway, it's been cheaper with 5 different stacked codes and trade in.

All jokes aside this is a great phone.

  • +1

    LOL at comments here.

  • Is it still possible to get 5 stacks?
