The reviews look excellent! Thanks OP

What has "Support 4K" got to do with anything. It's not 4K. It then says 5G Wifi instead of 5Ghz, so it doesn't support 5G. So much marketing mumbo jumbo I wouldn't trust anything else they said.

    • 4K FullHD, whattt??

      • +2

4K input FHD output? The best I can think of.

  • +5

Great projector working for 6+ months, don't know much about projectors so can only say it's reliable so far…

    • How loud is the fan?

  • support playing 4k videos

  • +5

Good price but all of these budget projectors have fake RRP

  • +2

$270 on AliExpress before tax and claims 85% NTSC color gamut and 480 ASNI lumens (more like 300 when calibrated) which is relatively good specs for a projector this price, assuming it's not lies.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one

    OOS

  • Gone

  • Damn, I was in the process of going through ShopBack to buy it but by the time I got to the listing it was OOS….. Too bad

That’s the Ozbargain curse. Sometimes, we try to fly too close to the sun like Icarus.

    • +1

That's why you need to buy first and think later.

      • +1

"Think"?! Ain't nobody got time for that!

    • +4

Just remember no shopback with coupon..

    1c away from greatness @Muzeeb

  • +3

At this price I doubt this projector would be any good for adults, you'd get away with it if bought for the kids.

Best to spend $200 and get a wewatch v50 pro currently on sale at AliExpress

    • +1

      Or the Blitzwolf V5.

    • +1

And how is it better? Ie. how isn't it as crap?

The Optro one is also ~$200. The bargain was it was 1/3 the price for 20 minutes.

    • +4

Don't you think there would be reasonable use cases where an adult paying $69 rather than paying 3 times as much? Reddit advice- if you're not paying at least $500, what are you doing? My answer- projecting an image in my tent and when it breaks it can be replaced cheaply.

Bought one of these for $80, it's small and great to travel with: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005943656212.html?spm=a2g…

Do people think they're putting a sub-$100 projector as their main screen for their home theatre or something? I don't think so.

I didn't NEED it but I waaaanted it at that price!

  • +1

    Is this a price error?
Because I bought the exact same model 6 months ago and I paid $230. That's with 50% discount off the original price.
This is a good quality projector even at $230 price.
I used this with Amazon fire stick.
It's a damn good bargain at $68.99 price point.

Would like to know seller acknowledge the deal?

    • +3

Some here have referred to it as "double stacking" where a coupon remains live while at the same time the item becomes a lightning deal.

If the seller is third party but fulfilled by Amazon - it is likely to be fulfilled.

  • How do these cheaper models stack up against the much more expensive Nebula Apollo / Capsule / XGimi? I have been looking at those just for an easy solution for bedroom and outdoor viewing. Does not need to be fancy - talking YouTube content + older movies, without dedicated screens. Problem is Nebula is $700 minimum, and I don't need it to be portable (tho the small footprint is great)

    • +1

These are generally louder (fan noise) and crippled version of Android (fixed with tv stick). For your use purpose and assuming dark room, fixed location (not needing Keystone correction etc) these are much better value. Just make sure it's 1080p native. There are still many that are 720p or below that are "fhd compatible".

      • Yep definitely dark room - black out blinds and only being used in the late evening. Also have a chrome cast HD ready to go. OK will check out the native 1080p! Stoked to save some cash over the Nebula - which I found the Apollo to still have a decent fan noise too!

    It all make sense now.

They advertised it now for $218. RRP $369.
So it was adverted earlier with $369 price tag with $150 coupen code. So that the purchased price come down to $218 with coupen applied.
Then the price dropped down to $218, but coupen code remain intact. So you could have purchased it for $68.
Seller has corrected the pricing error now.

    • +1

…yeap, I believe coupon codes are enabled by Amazon upon request from the seller. This is basing on my experience where I've requested coupons from a seller and was told that Amazon enables it a few hours later and to check back later… sellers could either knowingly/unknowingly set the validity of the coupon to coincide with the lightning deal…

    Mine has been dispatched.

Received this message from the Amazon seller
      "Message from seller TOPTRO DIRECT:
      Dear Customer,
I'm writing this email because I found a serious problem during my inventory check today, this product you purchased has a defect that will affect your experience. And you are not the only one who purchased it. We are highly concerned about customer satisfaction and Amazon's reputation, so I would like to request that you cancel this order. We are doing this to ensure that your shopping experience is not further negatively impacted. Again, I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to you in this urgent situation.
      Best regards,

      TOPTRO
      • My item has aleady been dispatched. I will see if there is any defect.

      • +2

Hmm best to check it yourself and return to amazon if this said "defect" is legit… sounds like the seller did not intend to sell it at this deal price and could instead be wondering why this projector went out of stock so quick in their amazon inventory and realised the double stacking with coupon 🤔

        • Exactly, sounds like the seller is hoping for buyers to cancel or return the item so that they can recoup the loss from the coupon stacking.

      • +2

Seller is trying to get buyers to cancel orders so that it doesn’t impact their Amazon selling account.
If the seller cancels it counts as a defect to the account whereas a buyer initiated cancellation does not.

        • Interesting insight - no wonder products sold by third parties but fulfilled by amazon that drops to insane prices still end up getting fulfilled rather than cancelled.

          • @jerdp: Mines still awaiting dispatch so be curious what ends up happening with this one

            • @v00d00 AU: My order has just been dispatched! Suppose I should expect a similar email from the seller soon xD

              • @jerdp: Haha. Ah message comes in after they dispatch it? Wierd why they wouldn't do it before hand?

                • @v00d00 AU: Got my delivery notice. Arriving tomorrow. Anyone received theirs yet?

                  • +1

@v00d00 AU: I received mine yesterday, surprisingly good for the price. The only issue is out of focus on the edges (corner). Other than is great and bright enough to use while blinds are open

                    • @TechVisar: Do you notice any defects as per the seller's claim on jamba's comment?

                      • @jerdp: It's pretty clear the unspecified "serious problem during my inventory check" was the seller trying to avoid shipping them.

Ie. there are no defects apart from the blurry picture, expected at this price.

                      • +1

@jerdp: No I didn’t, as others mentioned it is a seller’s trick to cancel the order by the buyer as the seller doesn’t want to sell it on this amazing price.

Also as I thought the product is actually a Yaber technology product branded as TOPTRO.

I assume this product is similar to Yaber V6 or earlier version of Yaber V9

      • +2

Sounds like an excuse to me, maybe they don’t want to sell below cost price

        • Your right, now they selling at $218

          • @tuim83: Maybe someone ended up instantly believing the seller's claim of a defect and cancelled their order, hence 1 left in stock 🤔

      • Dropshippers on pack-watch

  • Received mine today. Pretty impressed with the quality given its only $60ish. The only downfall is that the only way to change the size of the projected screen is by manually moving the projector back and forth but pretty decent otherwise.

    • There is a scaling option in the settings. I came across it while playing with the Keystone settings, although it did seem to play funny with both the Keystone and scaling settings (one overrode the other?)

      • +1

I have the same issue. Support said this is due to hardware defect. Asking me to send it back for a full refund as they don't have anything else in stock.

        • +1

Same here. Support are so keen for us to return. They must have made a loss.

        • Software defect seems more likely than a hardware defect, but I agree it smells more like they just want reimbursement for their loss

  • Anyone who wants use this projector with Chrome cast google tv,
set remote as tv - yaber.
Then you can use power, volume , input button on chromecast remote.

    • How do you set the remote as TV - Yaber
