Not many good deals for IPS / OLED gaming ultrawide, sharing what I've found and hoping for some I've missed in the comments (please). Looking around the $1100-$1500 mark for mixed gaming and work use would be great.

Some comments on the product:

  • Same QD-OLED used in other monitors
  • No Vesa options, the stand design is pretty deep / chunky
  • Limited colour controls
  • Ambient lighting / questionable design

A few others I've come across:

  • ASUS ProArt PA348CGV $1059 (Only 120Hz but some good features)
  • LG 34GN850 $11099 (closest to my current monitor)
  • Asus ROG Strix XG349C $1449 (No AMD support for me)
  • Dell AW3423DWF $1613 (with code)

Yeah I agree waiting for CES products to drop over the next month or so is the best strategy atm.

    • I've been watching some of the commentry, seems more like a few months for many models ane higher pricing with 240hz support.

There will be discounts of curent Gen, but I'm not in a position to wait.

A place holder might get me by until that time.

      • Place holder? The best place holder ultrawide would be one of the low cost VA ultrawides, such as this. VA is pretty good for both games and productivity. 100hz isn't amazing but does the job.

The problem with the current prices of the previous gen OLEDs, is they're jacked up. Dell has done the same, there's no discounted prices because the new models are coming, and I think they will offer discounts soon on the old OLEDS. But the current jacking is designed to make the "discounts" seem good, when actually they'll be the same or in this case, worse than last year. End of the day, $1439 is not a "bargain" for this monitor.

    • True, but sadly no announcements that I've seen yet for 34" ultrawides that are QD-OLED gen 3 panels.
Closest are WOLED and 39" but at terrible ppi.

      Still holding out for 38" 3840x1600 QD-OLED

      • That would be great, dreading the sticker price with Aus Tax.

So annoying that they don't seem to be going down in price.

I'd love a few gens old OLED monitor if it didn't cost the same as a used car.
