$700/$1000 off Mobile with Optus $69/M 100GB/M or $99/M 200GB/M 24-Month Plan (New Service or Re-contracting) @ Officeworks

2nd times poster so please be nice

I know people is going away from Optus since THAT even
After doing some research on where I can get best price for Iphone 15 plus 128GB, I found out:

  • $700 credit to purchase eligible device outright from Officeworks if you sign up with Optus
  • You then can price match with 5% off, which I dont think there is in JB Hi-fi

To my case, I ended up buying Iphone 15 Plus 128gb for $722.99 yesterday in Officeworks Highett

Note: you can do it only, but I want to do price match with Costco as well, so I went in store, there are only a few stores: Castle Hill, Highett, Maribyrnong, Keswick from 6 November 2023 to 4 February 2024

This is quite better deal compare to jbhifi.

Do u know if we can get $20off/monthly in chat?

      • I wouldn't count on that

    • look like good deal, but I dont want to pay $99/month and also price match and International call are main for me :)

  • Might as well go to Telstra with Optus abysmal service

Optus lol. Its a warehouse for LNP rejects.

  • $723 excluding monthly plan ?

    • yub, currently pay 59$ to Optus anyway, so it's 10$ up and $700 off + price match, so im pretty happy

I don't support these sorts of plans. The voucher for a two year commitment is BS. Make the plan half the price/month, which gives them the same profit margin, forget the voucher and maybe they will get some new subscribers.

Your maths is way off my friend…

    • $700 off from Officeworks if you sign up with Optus

    You didn't get $700 off, you spread that $700 over a 24 month contract by paying Optus 24 x $69 = $1,656

Your total minimum cost including the iPhone is $2,378.99

not true though, im currently paying $59 to Optus for the last 3 years anyway, im actually paying 10$ more for 24 months so $240 for $800 off my new phone :)

If this make sense to you

You could leave and get a better deal elsewhere. Just because you have paid $59 per month in the past doesn't mean that you need to lock yourself into paying $69 for 2 years on a horrendous deal.

I guess if you're actually using the 100Gb/month then it could be worth it, however if 365Gb/year (or less!) is enough, I would still prefer outright on a yearly plan. (on Boost too, which is Telstra, not Optus)

    Outright $1649 + $320 + $320 = $2,289

    Via contract $723 + ($69*24) = $,2379

    You've been a member for 8 years…

If you're paying $59/100GB at Optus hand in your Ozb badge. Was offered 50% off ($29.50) simply because I asked. There's all these sorts of discounts they're happy to give you, but obviously won't if you don't ask for them because they want to make more money.

    • where can i find my badge? I can give you 2 :)

  • Office works $700 is still active. However could not get them to do price beat. They could do price beat if i buy the phone outright. But as the $700 discount applies only if you sign up for a new phone plan, they unable to price match. Not the best deal, but had to settle with iphone 15 128GB for $687 out of pocket. Keen to hear if anyone managed to get a better deal.
