    • +2

Bargain of the century. Especially Halo 3.

      • +10

yeah that Halo 3 that came out 5 years ago is a great price ;)

    • +2

Is it just me or at these prices amazing for Australian stock?!

Looks like they have the PEGI ratings, so likely UK stock?

    • I'm not 100% sure they're going to be Australian stock they all look to have other countries ratings which may end up being imports.

Unless I've missed something, still good prices though.

      Eh beaten by Kirt.

        who are you

        • +12
who who, who who, cause I really wanna know, who are you, who who who who

    • Hitman Absolution PC for $25.56

    • +2

Absolutely amazing, even though they are more than likely imported. However they are cheaper than anywhere you can import it and only charges 2 dollars shipping.

I think video ezy is taking the right course of action though. They were bound to die out eventually with the increase of online sales. Now not only are they on my radar they could be my first stop for all my gaming and DVD needs.

  • +3

What's the shipping price? I cbb entering my details.

    • +9

      According to FAQ…
$2 per item and purchases over $60 are free shipping.

      • Cheers mate.

  • +8

So video ezy are finding another portal of business to stay alive. Most video store are nearly gone with the arrival of Netflix and such.

    • +1

Netflix did not single-handedly demolish the Video Rental industry.

It's more a combination of digital content delivery as a whole replacing bricks & mortar and physical media; and it's not just because of consumers, it is the cheapest and most efficient distribution channel from a marketing point of view.

Not like Blockbuster, Video Ezy, et al really care anyway. They'll all just go online-only and even out their margins.

Also don't confuse brands. The Franchise Entertainment Group owns Video Ezy and Blockbuster in Australia, and operates them as totally independent brands not affiliated with nor subsidiaries of Blockbuster USA for instance.

Blockbuster USA is in the sh*ts but the Australian brand is actually doing fairly well since Netflix and other online video-on-demand services aren't as cheap over here (or as fast if they're content streaming sites).

  • Can you play offline with this version of Black Ops?

I'm just weirded out by the (Multiplayer) beside the title.

    • +2

Yes. You can also play local multiplayer

    • I believe that is in reference to the included DLC.

  • +1

Isn't the game imported from UK? The classification is 18?

    • +1

      dw it'll still work on AU-retailed PS3s :D

      • +1

but you might get it later?

  • +3

    DMC 4 ~$14
    MGS collection ~$35
    DMC Collection ~$22
    Ratchet and CLank Collection ~$30
    F1 2012 ~$40
    Fifa 13 ~$57
    Killzone Trilogy ~$43

    Great for collections

  • If they are UK stock can Video Ezy get the games on release day?

  • Ordered Assassins Creed 3, curious to see if it arrives close to the release date or not. Either way still cheaper than anywhere else.

  • +6

i just spent $220 on pre-orders….THANKS SOO MUCH!!! do u know if they dispatch the games when they are released individually? or do they batch them? are they reliable? i never bought from them before so im not really sure what to expect.

    • +1

Did they take the dosh straight away or did it say it would direct deposit it when it shipped?

      • +1

They took my money up front. Not too stressed, all my pre-orders are out next month anyway.

    • Just out of curiosity which games did you pre-order?

      • I preordered assassins creed 3 ps3
        Far cry 3 ps3
Zero escape virtue last reward 3ds
        Assassins creed liberation psvita
        Call of duty declassified psvita

  • Would this 100% work on an Aussie XBOX? I know it says PAL and all.

    • +2

Yes. All games labeled PAL will work on all UK, EU and AU Xboxes.

      • Thanks for answering my question, gonna buy a crapload of games.

    • +1

      For PS3 gamers only.
I don't know the source of Video Ezy games. But if they're not sourced in australia the multiplayer section on very few but some games connect to the country of origins multiplayer server or finds players from that region. Not sure, just read it on whirlpool. But I suspect it's reliable.

I'm going to make a order of some games, that I was just going to get from UK. Hope this is australian stock. :) Not that I think it really matters, as I said only very few games do this.

  • Just grabbed Sports Champions 2 ~ $26 delivered. thanks

  • +1

Cancelling my JB preorder on farcry 3 and snapping up this awesome price instead. Much love, op.

  • +12

Slightly concerned that they'll go into administration before fulfilling pre orders down the track but what the hell - these are good prices…

  • +6

I'm thinking this is strangely coincidental that they have 20% and show UK game packaging right when WowHD have a 20% on games and source their's from the UK too. Same shipping poicy too.
    http://www.wowhd.com.au/games

Either way, both are very good prices.

  • ordered xcom for $33.56.

  • Holy crap these prices are nice. Cheers, OP, off to spend more than I should ;-)

  • this is madness! I just bought another 4 games, great deal yo!

  • Thanks OP great price on Black Ops 2.

  • Great prices!! Bought 8 games, bargain!

  • Nice deal. I'm getting XCOM- $54.36

  • +3

I received pc version F1 2012 from these guys a few weeks ago, came from wow hd hong kong which use to trade as cd-wow. The game was genuine made in europe and has worked fine.Their prices are very good

    • +1

will that key activate on steam by any chance ?

      • +1

Are you referring to F1 2012?
If so yes it activated on steam and I have been using the game for several weeks now, no problems

    • +1

How long did it take to come? From Video Ezy?

      • +1

It was about a week after release date, but I can wait a few days longer at these prices

  • +3

    Preordered Halo 4, $48.36 total.

    • Ended up cancelling pre-order and getting refund. I want to buy it on the 6th so will spend the extra ~$20.

  • +2

    Cheap as chips!

    • +13

I hate to be the one to inform you… but you're paying far too much for chips.

  • +1

They better have a catchy jingle if they are getting into games…

Video ezy movie guarantee, get it first time or get it free!

I haven't heard that in 10 years and it is still embedded in my head

  • Good price for MGS3 collection.

  • +1

    Thanks ordered Halo 4 !

I am sure there will be a wait, so I would rather pickup Black Ops 2 from DSE on release day for $69 :)

    • +2

I hope not TOO much of a wait, but for this price I guess I can deal with it. I mean, it'll be the first console game I've bought this year I think.

    • +1

Really $69? They have it for $84 atm.

  • Damn! These prices are too good, too good they making me skeptical.. Far cry 3 $26 PC, so what happens if they decide to have a price hike after you have pre ordered the game?? am new to these things, never been one to Pre order

  • Will Far Cry 3 have the pre-order bonus along with it, as offered by JB/Zavvi/Ozgameshop ?

  • Thanks, time to get Nintendo Super Mario Bros 2

  • Just bought:
    XCOM(PC): $33.56
    Darksiders II (Xbox 360): $33.56

    And pre-ordered:
    Far Cry 3 (PC): $25.56
    Assassin's Creed 3 (Xbox 360): $49.56
    Hitman Absolution (Xbox 360): $46.36

    Total: $188.60

Two brand new games and three soon-to-be-released ones for less than $190. Madness!

  • Seriously thinking about Dishonored (PC) for ~$30… $50 off the price on Steam is insane.
As a noob for activating retail keys on Steam… will the game just come with normal Steam keys, and subsequently act like a normal Steam-downloaded game following Steam activation?

    • +1

Dishonored is a Steamworks game. This means that it will install all the content off the disc and then run through Steam. Then yep, it just acts like a normal Steam game (no disc required to play). The only difference between buying a boxed copy of a game and buying it digitally is the initial install (from disc vs download).

      • Ah, so it's just the initial install then? I could just discard the disc afterwards, and be able to re-download like any other Steam game? (Not saying I will, I just like digital download only).
        Thanks :-)

        • +5

Correct-a-mundo. Disc will not be needed after the initial install.
Man, the thought of throwing a game disc away nearly causes me physical pain. I haven't even sold a game since early PS2 days let alone thrown one away haha.

        • Thanks for the help :-)
Heh, I prefer digital only, since my discs are, more often than not, misplaced, abused and/or destroyed. But having the option will be a bonus.

  • I know most (all?) of these games are imports, but does anyone know if these games ship from Australia?

  • +3

Well, I bit the bullet on:
    * Dishonored - $30.36
    * Hitman: Absolution - $25.56
    * Halo 4 - $46.36

    Total: $102.28
About half price, if considering Steam and JB Hi Fi prices. tries to justify purchase
Damn you OzBargain. I think I have a problem.

    • I was thinking about how much I spend on games with all these bargains, and I too think I have a problem.

  • Does anyone know if you order multiple items and one is a pre-order, do Video Ezy split ship, or will you have to wait for everything to come into stock?

  • +1

Bit the bullet and bought Assassin's Creed 3! Saw it go for $35 on g2play the other day and passed it up. Clearly it was a sign :P

Thanks for this! $29 for a brand new game is fantastic; even if I have to wait just over a month after the console release for the PC version.

  • Does the pre-order of Black Ops 2 include nuketown 2025?

    • Yes the code for the map is in the game case for first pressed BO2

  • +1

It was only Sunday when i was drivin with mates to Highpoint (Melbourne) that i saw VideoEzy and said holy shi* this store still exists why would anyone go there? 1 day later… it proved me wrong.

  • Just grabbed Halo 4 and Forza Horizon….WOW!

  • Grabbed Hitman Absolution & FC3 $55 delivered.
    Cheers op!

  • Just picked up Forza Horizon and MGS HD Collection for $83.12 delivered
    Thanks!!

  • Is it worth picking up Bioshock Infinite for $54.36? Release Feb 13.

    • +2

It's a few bucks cheaper at dvd.co.uk (£34.82 ~ $54 delivered), plus they don't charge until dispatch, they have a pre-order price promise, and you can cancel anytime:

      http://www.dvd.co.uk/help/#ord1

Only downside is that it may be delivered a few days later, depending on how Video Ezy are sourcing their stock.

    • To be honest, I wouldn't be pre-ordereding Bioshock Infinite from anywhere. The game is shaping up to be amazing but it is really struggling to be developed. Game modes (i.e. multiplayer) have been cut, release dates have been pushed back and half a dozen key personnel have up and left Irrational Games in the past couple of months. I desperately want Infinite, but I won't be paying for this game until it's actually on shelves.

  • Omg, I just pre ordered Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 from JB HIFI. I should have waited a bit longer :(

    • +3

      Just cancel them?

      • +2

Cheers johnno. Rang them up and they said come to the store and they will cancel them. Now I can save some dosh :))

  • i'm wondering how on earth you would rent these games - especially steamworks games. You would install the client, add the cd-key to your account - no-one else can play now?

  • +1
    • -1

I wonder if you can price match at JB?

  • +3

Emailed them to confirm if its UK stock or Aus stock, otherwise ill cancel my black ops order, and keep the other 3 as i dont need DLC, amazing prices non the less!!!!!

    • Please let us know as well. If it ain't Aus stock I might cancel BO 2 as well.

      • they have the note whether it is PAL or NTSC. it should be fine if it's PAL.

      • +2

I cancelled my pre-order, received this email:

        Just received this email :

        Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that all the games you have ordered are not from Australia, can you please confirm if you would like us to cancel your whole order or please advise us which items you would like to cancel.

As for pre-release offering they cannot be dispatched until the day of release. Once the item has been released we estimate it will take 3-10 working days to arrive.

Please contact us at your convenience should you have any further queries.

        Kind Regards,
        Miguel
        Customer Service Executive

        • thanks for this ! cancelled my pre-order as well, i'm sure that 3-10 days will be stretched as usual

          cheers

  • -3

I forgot to buy Hitman Absolution and already bought what i wanted. Now i need to pay another $2 for shipping + $25.36 for Hitman Absolution. :( Could have got 2 apple pies.

    • If they haven't dispatched anything yet you could:

      A) Cancel the whole order and make another one including Hitman; or
      B) Email/call and request that Hitman be added.

  • +3

Hmm I'd weigh up its worth $20 more for guaranteed Nov 6th Halo 4 play.
