    I would be tempted by this if I already did not get the Victron from earlier deal, plus some more various

    Victron Smartsolar controllers from ebay same week for few future projects as were going cheapest ever for Victron.

        In the decription they show both are cpmpatible, but nowhere to be found on the site that I saw.

        The one from your link will hopefully do the job for you, just a bit of a risk to be sure.

        I personally like a quick glance at a display, and happy using a Renogy 500A Shunt Battery Monitor,

        only problem is there is no manual way to stop alarm going off untill re-program or % hits 100% again.

        My work around is to temporarily dissconext the cable, especially at night haha

            @shap08: There you go, did not know it went down even more. I actually paid around $230 delivered posted a

            day earlier on Ozbargain from an online store, then when I saw the cheaper ebay prices got some

            smaller models super cheap. The 100/15 for $109.95, a 100/20 for $124.99, and the smallest 75/10

            for $89.25 which I will put in a customised battery box/power station.

            The 3 year warranty on Kickass is nice to have if you ever need it, as long as they honour it that is.

        The dongles are pretty generic. I bought one from AliExpress and works fine. Just check the connector- would either be BT-1 or BT-2
        But that Victron for $206 is a bargain!

          Yeah, I thought $230 delivered was cheap at the time as I pulled the trigger before checking ebay first.

          Any idea what Kickass is like with warranty claims ?

              @SAU: Building a campervan and installing a DC DC charger with mppt build in, but adding a stand alone Victron Smart solar controller as back up with a switch. Can also set max voltage too I believe on the Victron to take load of batteries if sitting idle in the sun.

            @ozhunter68: Very ordinary company to deal with. I had an issue with own of these a while back and they have me the complete run around. Never bought another Kickass product since. Gone down the Victron path now.

            Be careful of their after service. It sucks.

              @Prong: Thanks guys, ended up cancelling my order and getting the Victron. KickAss seem like a rebrand AliExpress model.
