Difference between these and normal size huggies appears to be no specific shape for boys/girls and includes a plant based liner? $0.49 per item under s/s for these, $0.52 per item for the normal huggies nappies?
We use size 4 huggies and find that the nappy pants have no where near the same absorbency as the normal nappies.
Our use case:
- Bub won't lie down -> nappy pants
- Bub will lie down -> normal nappy
Night time is always a normal nappy
Not sure if your question is specific to ultimate nappy pants v/s normal nappy pants or in general what's the difference between normal nappies and nappy pants.
I will answer with regards to ultimate nappy pants v/s normal nappy pants:
These are thicker (and supposedly use nicer/ more premium material) and also absorb more when compared with the normal huggies nappy pants. We used this for a while during day and at night but then realised that these are too bulky and therefore may not be as comfortable as the normal ones for when the kid needs to move around a bit. In the end, we ended up using ultimate ones just for the night time and the normal ones during the day but then eventually we just stopped buying these ultimate ones.
S&S is not expired to me, still very much live
My bubs doesn't like these premium ones, happier with the standard versions
cheers mate
loaded up on 3 boxes
(S and s price still live)
Wtf are expired nappies.. then I looked closer
I hope you didn’t look too close into an “expired” nappy.
Purchased these at an Amazon sale last year.
They are good but just a warning they are more of a snug fit compared to the other Huggies Nappy Pants. Most nappies weight range is a bit too wide, but with these in particular go up a size if your child is 16kg or above.
(Also confirming I had S&S available as well)
49c per nappy doesn't seem justified.
If you buy 1000 of these, that's $490.

1000 of these is $260.
Haven't had a problem with them.
I tried the WW brand nappies on my bub (for almost half the cost, why not?), but I found that they weren't as good as absorbing wee odour as the Huggies - and yes, I change him pretty frequently i.e. every 2-3 hours except overnight.
I've also tried Babylove, but the nappies are a smaller fit than Huggies. Since I've been able to keep bub in a smaller size Huggies nappy for longer, it works out cheaper per nappy than the Babylove.
So, we're back to using Huggies now.
The one you linked is a pack of regular nappies rather than nappy pants. Little One's nappy pants size 5 is $9.50 for a pack of 23 which comes to 41c each. Still cheaper, but not as massive as a gap as you made it out to be.
Not to mention, the fit of Little One's nappies does not necessarily fit all children.
Thanks OP. We usually use the standard but in summer our youngest has been scratching down there. At this price these are worth a shot.
These are too thick for my toddler so we just stick to the standard Huggies nappy pants. These are on sale at Coles $11 for the 26 pack.
Decent price, with S&S it's cheaper than the ATL.
