Ozito PXC Brushless Robot Lawn Mower

Just saw an Ozito robot lawn mower at my local Stafford (Qld) Bunnings.

Ozito PXC 18V Brushless Freelexo Cam Robot Lawn Mower 4.0Ah Kit PXRLMK-500

Anyone know if this is a reskinned version of an existing mower or something new? I can't find any reviews on it yet.

I am deep into the Ozito ecosystem. Anyone else tempted?

Robot mowers are about where robot vacs were 5-6 years ago. They're still not very smart, usually mow in a random pattern, and very pricey. I'd let someone else be the beta tester until they improve performance and normalise in price.

    • Not all of them move in random pattern, remember seeing videos a few months ago where they moved in the right patterns just like home robot vaccums.

Id put money its just a rebadge from one of the Einhell versions. Considering it has 500 in the part number, im guessing its this one if its a 500 series and a camera - https://www.einhell.de/en/p/3413991-freelexo-cam-500/

They'll be reviews, and yes robot mowers are pretty dumb compared to what vacuums are like now. Be good as a gimmick, but would only get it for a rear lawn, wouldnt trust someone walking off with it doing the front garden in a lot of suburbs….

    • $1,250 that grows it own pair of legs.

    • Yep, that's the one.

  • $1250? It would want to mow the lawn itself for that sort of money!

More seriously though, its too much coin for ozito imo. Plus, it comes with 3 spare blades so i can only guess its a glorified whipper snipper, perhaps not a bad thing for a robor mower that mows every couple of days.

  • I am also keen on a robotic lawn mower but unsure whether I should bite yet. With buffalo and QLD weather, I end up mowing upto 3 times per week and getting sick of it, slowly.

PS: I like the manicured look

  • We have a nice flat and square lawn, but unfortunately we also have dogs, so no robot lawn mower for me. :(

  • I think the intellectual property to do this properly needs to come from either Silicon Valley or China. Modern robovacs are very sophisticated and even with that the latest ones still get stuck etc from time to time and have plenty of annoyances.

I wouldn’t trust a company like ozito/einhell, as much as I love them, to do this well.
