Gaming Laptop for under $1300

Any good/decent gaming laptop deals for under $1300 at the moment? Just need something to run games (BG3, Total War, Diablo 4, Cyberpunk) decently when I don't have access to my PC.

Thanks for any help.

Not really no, this model isn't even a gaming laptop. The ROG Flow series are meant to be thin and light laptop that you pair with their eGPU. Some of the higher end model has a low TDP dGPU included that barely qualifies, but this just an an iGPU. Even then, the dGPU in the higher end model are severely limited by the inadequate cooling and low TDP

  • If you can wait for the next Lenovo Cashback offer, something like this:

The $1300 price bracket brand new is mostly entry level rubbish (i.e. the Gigabyte G5/G6 with its ancient Clevo chassis and underpowered GPU), without cashback you'd have to stretch to around $1500 before you start seeing decent stuffs on sale. You'd rather have a (relatively) high quality chassis + screen with a slightly worse GPU like with the LOQ rather than a garbage chassis and screen with a (better on paper) GPU like the Gigabyte G5/G6 and MSI Cyborg in this price range. The Acer Nitro V is also apparently decent, but I'd avoid the other Nitro

    • Hmmmm it might be worth waiting but I would rather one sooner rather then later.

So you're advising against this one?

I had a Acer Nitro years before my PC and I thought it was decently solid, but that was a while ago now.

      • Yes. I'd sooner buy something used or a lower specced (i.e. 4050 vs 4060) machine with better build and screen quality rather than buy ewaste trash like that. A gaming laptop is the whole package, not just the CPU and GPU.
