Should be reasonable price for the brand, not just the spec.

You will find that this uses cheap budget LED arrays .
You will start to notice discolouration and blotchy spots just as warranty expires

Looks like this model is not available at other retailers.
Looks like an overseas model getting dumped in Australia.

    • Yes, you are absolutely right. This model gets sold in Thailand.

      • isn't that where such models are manufactured anyway?
As long as the local OS works well I don't see the issue

        • Neither I have any issues buying LG that is intended for Thailand market/Asian markets.
I think local OS should work or ALDI would not be selling here.

webOS has been such utter garbage in my experience, I wont ever buy one again, decent deal if you can put up with that miserable piece of shit software

Buy a quality OTT device like an NVIDIA Shield or Apple TV.

I agree webOS isn’t a good experience but I never have to see it with my Shield which has a much nicer/responsive UI.

      • Funny how you never hear any complaints about the OS or remote in the numerous C3 and G3 posts

    • Really? We are using an old 43" LG my wife got for free with a phone contract about 8 years ago. So much faster than our Sony running Android and 3 years older

      • I've got a 55" 4K OLED TV i got for dirt cheap off a friend a few years back and its just been a nightmare, i can't install any useful apps, the youtube app is insanely laggy, remote just doesnt work half the time and thinq app is a 50/50 if it even wants to detect the TV as on, I'm just gonna stick an nvidia shield or something on it as someone else mentioned above

Agree completely. Their remotes suck too. Have had to help two friends/family try and pair a replacement remote and it was a nightmare.
It's those experiences that have sadly kept me on Samsungs.

  • Seriously considering this deal. Although the comments have made me reavaluate the situation. Can anyone recommend any other similar TV's in this price range?

    • You're looking at Hisense or TCL.

But i detest the vidaa software

      • Thanks but I was trying to avoid those brands. I don't mind paying a bit extra for a major brand.

I'm personally a sony fan (since 1992) and would look for box damaged from sony ebay store. Mostly excess stock.

  • Comes with Satan's favourite remote control

  • The neofiliac score is 33% brought down by 8-bit display panel. Ratings have reviewed the UQ75 which is likely to be a similar budget TV:

The LG UQ75 is a mediocre TV overall. It's best suited for watching shows or sports in a moderately-lit room, as it doesn't look very good in a dark room and it's not bright enough to overcome glare. It's not a good choice for dark-room viewing, whether you're gaming or watching movies, as it has a terrible contrast ratio, poor black uniformity, and no local dimming. It's also disappointing for gaming in general as it lacks advanced gaming features like VRR and is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR, but sadly, this adds almost nothing, as it can't display a wide color gamut, and it's not bright enough to bring out specular highlights.

I think I'll be passing on this deal.
