PDFs are really annoying to copy and paste /format into markdown, this took a while to edit :/
I came across this nice deal while browsing for the cheapest food safety certification website. What it says on the tin.
I put my own address on the billing page and it didn't seem to check whether it was a Mandurah address or not…. so I guess it's okay for everyone to use???

Original File (don't want the city of Mandurah to find out through us OzBargaining the site/overloading the file so I uploaded it to ozbargain):

  • Seems like a good thing for Mandurah residents. Not sure if the cert is even worthwhile, or would be relevant Australia wide, but the training could be good for some people. Good on ya Mandurah council, good community service.

What do you mean relevant Australia wide, looking at the standards it's even good for NZ

Approved food handler training requirement of Standard 3.2.2A Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
Food Safety practices and general requirements of Standard 3.2.2 Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
Allergen Control practices to comply with the Food Act 2008 and Standard 1.2.3 Australia New Zealand Food Standard Code

      • I meant that perhaps it will only be offered to the people of Mandurah, and not to others, even if they sign up, so 'not relevant' to people outside their intended target audience.

Like I said, I wasn't sure, but if it is then that's great! Perhaps relevant was the wrong word in that context.

  • IMO this is an exploit, not a deal

    Free is free.

Also, pretty sure you need this for Bunnings sausage sizzles these days, pretty sure my club mentioned something for our next one.

  • Mandurah council rate payers won't be happy about this I suspect.

  • Thanks. This will come handy

  • Thanks :)

There’s this food safety course for free with no strings attached: https://dofoodsafely.health.vic.gov.au/index.php/en/

    • @CandyMan
      It's non-accredited that course.

      • Candy man makes candy with a non-accredited course , he knows best

      • Is it? 4 states acknowledge it
Edit: appears that all courses basic food handling courses are non accredited?
