  • You can get a slightly thicker cooler for slightly cheaper: https://www.amazon.com.au/Thermalright-SI-100-Cooler-Bearing… (no idea on comparative performance)

if you're buying the thermalright you're probably playing a game of mm's. Nearly double the height is a no go here

        Pay the mini itx tax

        • I was thinking "hey, they could get a Thermalright peerless assassin cooler for that much"…. But in a mini itx that would leave no room for gfx card… Or ram… Or CPU… Or motherboard.

      • yep agreed, meshlicious (73mm max) can use the OP's cooler, the one lano suggested blows the height budget by more than 30mm!

    • AXP90 Copper version is RUBBISH. Keep heating up the MOSFET AND THE RAM.

  • ITX enjoyer coming for a look.

  • Delivered and installed.
Review: keeps my 65w processor at about 60C under sustained 100% load, with minimal case airflow.
And my case has about another 5cm, could have bought the other one 😂

  • Installed in a Fractal Terra to cool a Ryzen 5 7600. With this I am able to hit the boost clock of 5.14Ghz while the temps reach a max of 80 degrees.
With the stock cooler it would easily reach 95 degrees and only boost till 4.9Ghz.

The only downside is in the Terra the fan is very close to the grill that causes a bit of turbulence and noise with the CPU is 100% utilised. Not an issue while gaming, but an issue when doing anything xpu intensive.

Overall it's a win for me and very happy with the price.
