So I purchased one of these for my Nephews last Christmas and it's been a huge hit. Not only do they love it, but their neighbours are coming over to play with it too! The kit itself is very high quality, the pieces are well made and sturdy. The other important thing is they're easy enough for a 5 year old to assemble by themselves, so you aren't constantly being dragged over to put pieces together.

I purchased around about $100 but now it's dropped to an all time low, a highly recommended gift!

The other important thing is they're easy enough for a 5 year old to assemble by themselves, so you aren't constantly being dragged over to put pieces together.

I bought a similar one for myself last Christmas and gave it to my nephew so as to avoid questions from the family

Not much of a fort. Arrows would go straight through those walls…

    • +2

And where's the drawbridge and moat?

      • The crocodiles from the moat would come straight through those walls!

        • Design flaws all over the shop..
          1 out of 5 stars

        The maiden in distress?
        The loyal serfs?
The trebuchets that can launch 90kg projectiles over 300m with real articulating parts?

The walls are powered by imagination.

Failing that, a bedsheet is ideal (a blanket/doona is too heavy)

  • Larger fort = more sets

More sets= more money, since time= money
    More sets= more time, time=Work/Power
More sets= more work/power, knowledge is power
    More sets= more work/knowledge

So more sets are inversely proportional to knowledge

  • Thanks OP. Got one. Hopefully gives us some free time!

  • The RRP is $75.99 if somebody's wondering the savings with this deal, ie. it doesn't seem to be "about $100" anymore.

    Thanks for the recommendation, OP.

Considering I paid $100 for this last year, and seeing what I got. I genuinely consider $75.99 a bargain.
The price of my nephew's happiness (and because I wanted them to cooperate more), even better so.

    Seems somewhat affortable.

  • $69.99 now

    • As apposed to it being?

      • $64.39, like it was originally posted 3 hrs ago. You can see it in the edit history.

  • I've read lot of negative reviews online regarding fort building kits in general just not being strong enough to hold up a blanket. Is this kit any better? Don't want something that would fall apart easily.

    • This is not strong enough to hold up a blanket (they're heavy!) but this is very high quality and well made. I actually spent a stupid amount of time reading reviews until I settled on this one, key features being sturdiness and ease for children to build.

It's not industrial, but it'll hold up a couple of bedsheets just fine.

I wouldn't say a blanket, but its a great use of your useless flat sheets.

  • Check all the pictures and descriptions carefully!
I purchased one like this pre Christmas from another seller (Babybud), they advertised exactly what you show here, and instead sent a bunch of 30cm sticks the strength of a plastic straw and there was no forts to be had.
Had to do a chargeback on my credit card to get money back.

  • You could buy your nephews a second set! More building opprtunities!

    • Their parents beat me to it!

Bought one for my bosses kid and I got a raise so it must be good. My kid likes it too. Adults can even squeeze through it and I'm not small.
